But there are some things the Magic Mirror can't do. It can't change your character's race or body type, and you can't mess with their background story. So, you can't make big changes, but you can still have fun customizing your character with this magical mirror. It's a feature that a lot of players wanted, and now it's part of the game to make your character in Baldur's Gate 3 even more unique.

How to Use the Magic Mirror in Baldur's Gate 3?

Using the Magic Mirror in Baldur's Gate 3 (BG3) is quite straightforward. When you want to change your character's appearance, just find the Magic Mirror in your camp and interact with it. Once you do that, you'll be taken to a screen where you can customize your character's look.

On this screen, you have several options to change your character's appearance. You can give your character a new name or identity if you'd like. You can also adjust their voice, face, body art (like tattoos), eye color, makeup, and even their hairstyle and hair color. If you're feeling adventurous, there's an option to randomize your character's appearance for a surprise makeover.

However, it's important to note that there are some things you can't change with the Magic Mirror. You can't switch your character's race or body type, so those features stay the same. If you're playing as an Origin Character or if you have hirelings or full illithid characters in your party, they won't be able to change their appearance using the Magic Mirror. So, while you have plenty of options for customization, there are a few limits to keep in mind.

Baldur's Gate 3

Baldur's Gate III is a role-playing video game that was developed and published by Larian Studios. As the third main installment in the Baldur's Gate series, it continues the legacy of this iconic franchise, which is based on the popular Dungeons & Dragons tabletop role-playing system.

The game was initially released in a partial version as an early access format for macOS, Windows, and the Stadia streaming service on October 6, 2020. This early access allowed players to experience and test the game while it was still in development, providing feedback to the developers to improve and refine the gameplay.

The early access period continued for nearly three years, during which Larian Studios actively worked on enhancing the game's features, fixing bugs, and implementing player suggestions. The full release of Baldur's Gate III for PC was finally launched on August 3, 2023, marking the game's official completion and readiness for a broader audience.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Gameplay

Baldur's Gate 3 is a video game where you can play all by yourself or with friends. In the game, you can make your own character or a few characters and make a group. Then, you go on adventures and explore the game's story together. If you want, you can also team up with other players online to form a party and tackle the game's challenges together.

This game is a bit different from the older Baldur's Gate games because it uses a turn-based combat system, which means you take turns in battles. This turn-based style is similar to other games made by the same company, like Divinity: Original Sin and Divinity: Original Sin II. Plus, all the fighting in Baldur's Gate 3 follows the rules of Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, making it feel like you're in a tabletop role-playing game.

So, in Baldur's Gate 3, you get to create your characters, go on adventures, and fight using the turn-based system, just like you would in a tabletop Dungeons & Dragons game. Whether you prefer playing alone or with friends, it offers a variety of ways to enjoy its role-playing and storytelling experience.
