Batman Arkham Knight

Batman Arkham Knight is an action-adventure video game that was released in 2015. Developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the game is based on the DC Comics superhero Batman. It serves as the fourth main installment in the Batman: Arkham series and is a direct sequel to the 2011 game Batman: Arkham City. Set nine months after the events of Arkham City, the game follows Batman as he faces Scarecrow, who has launched an attack on Gotham City and caused a citywide evacuation with the help of the mysterious Arkham Knight. The game is presented from a third-person perspective, with a focus on Batman's melee combat, stealth abilities, detective skills, and gadgets. It also introduces the Batmobile as a playable vehicle. The game received generally favorable reviews for its visuals, gameplay, combat, and world design, but was criticized for its storytelling, overuse of the Batmobile, and portrayal of the Arkham Knight character. Despite this, it was the fastest-selling game of 2015 and received several accolades. A continuation of the series, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, is set to release on May 26, 2023.

Batman Arkham Knight Walkthrough

  1. Once you start the game, you'll watch an opening cutscene that introduces you to the story and sets up the game's first mission. After the cutscene, you'll find yourself in control of Batman, standing in a room. Move towards the booth at the far end of the room, where a man is smoking a cigarette. Interact with him, and the story will begin.

  2. The first mission is called the "City of Fear." Your primary objective is to stop Scarecrow from detonating the Fear Toxin bomb. The mission begins with Batman meeting Commissioner Gordon on the GCPD rooftop by the Bat-Signal. Use the waypoint marker to guide you to your destination, gliding and using your Grapnel Boost as needed. When you arrive, Gordon will fill you in on the Scarecrow situation and point you in the direction of your next lead.

  3. Your next objective is to rescue a missing police officer. Locate the waypoint marker and glide towards it. When you arrive, you'll need to fight off a group of enemies using Batman's combat moves. Once you've defeated them all, interact with the police officer to progress the story.

  4. After rescuing the police officer, it's time to take the Batmobile for a spin. Follow the on-screen prompts to get into the Batmobile and start driving through the city. Your objective is to track down an armoured truck and interrogate the driver for information on Scarecrow. Use the Batmobile's weapons to take down the truck and its escorts, then interrogate the driver to progress the story.

  5. With the information you've gathered, it's time to investigate Scarecrow's safe house. Use the Batmobile to reach the waypoint marker, then grapple your way up to the top of the nearby building. Take out the enemies inside the building, then interact with Poison Ivy to progress the story.

  6. After talking to Poison Ivy, you'll need to take down a group of enemy drones. Use the Batmobile's Battle Mode to fight the drones, using the Vulcan Gun and 60mm Cannon to take them down. Be careful not to stay in the drones' targeting lines for too long, or they will fire on you. Once you've destroyed all the drones, park the Batmobile on the glowing square to complete the sequence.

  7. Finally, you'll need to run a weapon energy system diagnostic on the Batmobile. Follow the waypoint marker to the training area and complete the Weapon Energy Diagnostics challenge. Destroy enemy targets to charge up your secondary weapon's energy gauge, then use the Missile Barrage ability to progress the challenge. Once you've completed the challenge, the sequence will be complete.

Overall, the game's walkthrough takes you through the game's opening missions, guiding the main objectives and key gameplay mechanics. As you progress through the game, the objectives and challenges will become more complex, and you'll need to rely on your skills and knowledge of the game to succeed.

Batman Arkham Knight Gameplay

In Batman: Arkham Knight, players take on the role of Batman in an action-adventure game set within an open-world Gotham City. The game features many gadgets and gameplay elements from previous Arkham games, including the grapnel gun, batarangs, the countering system, and Detective Vision. New gadgets include the Voice Synthesizer, which can be used to imitate other characters' voices. The player can explore Gotham City freely and fly Batman throughout the city using his cape. Batman can use gadgets while gliding and can instantly switch directions during a glide using the grapnel gun. The game's "FreeFlow" combat system allows for basic attacks, including strikes, counters, and dodging, which can be combined to keep Batman attacking while moving between enemies, and avoiding being attacked himself. Batman is also capable of disarming enemies by wielding items like baseball bats and using the acquired weapon on several foes before it breaks.

Arkham Knight introduces "Dual Play," in which players can seamlessly switch control of Batman to one of his allies during certain events of the game: Robin, Nightwing, or Catwoman while in FreeFlow Combat. The game also introduces enemy medics who can shield enemies in electrified fields and revive unconscious ones, sword-wielding enemies, and brutes who are resistant to damage and must be stunned before they can be attacked. Side missions, known as "Most Wanted" missions, can be attempted at any time and feature prominent characters from the Batman universe. Completing the story mode unlocks a New Game Plus mode, enabling the player to replay the game with all of the gadgets, experience, abilities, and Riddler collectibles that they have obtained. The completion of some tasks is reflected in the Gotham City Police Department, with thugs and supervillains becoming incarcerated, and criminal memorabilia from missions and previous games being collected in the evidence room.
