Together Award:

Carer Award:

Great Neighbour Award: This award is for individuals or groups who make our neighborhoods or communities better places to live or work. It can be for those who do something nice once or help regularly.
Fundraiser Award:

Volunteer Award:
The Volunteer Award is for individuals who make a real difference in their community by giving their time for free. They help out at charities or for good causes without expecting anything in return.

BBC Make a Difference Awards 2023 Nominations
The BBC Make a Difference Awards 2023 received an incredible response with more than 11,000 nominations. These awards recognize everyday acts of kindness and heroism by people across England. Nominations closed on March 5th, and the winners will be celebrated at local BBC radio station ceremonies in September. People nominated their peers, colleagues, and friends for the good deeds they do in their communities.
The Make a Difference initiative was launched during the pandemic, creating a virtual notice board where people could offer help or seek support in their local areas. This initiative has connected over 11 million people across 39 local BBC radio stations.
This year's record-breaking nominations show how much people want to acknowledge and celebrate the goodness happening in their neighborhoods despite challenging times.

Finn Hagger (from Milcombe near Banbury)
Finn played a three-hour football match to raise funds for the Oxford Children's Hospital.

Dean Collins (from Hook Norton)
Dean and his colleagues have delivered over 1,300 free cooked meals to unpaid carers and their families since 2021.
Bravery Award
Christopher Rooke (from Wallingford)
Christopher swam 100 yards to raise funds for people on dialysis despite having multiple serious health conditions.
Green Award
Three Parishes Community Fridge, Fritwell
This group rescues leftover food from supermarkets and shares it with those in need, reducing food waste.

Dan Crowther (from Abingdon)
Dan Crowther is a basketball coach, table official, and referee, known for bringing people of all ages and abilities together at the Abingdon Eagles Basketball Club.

Rachael and Lucy from Botley, Oxford
