Beat Saber

Beat Saber is a cool virtual reality game made by three Slovaks named Ján Ilavský, Vladimír Hrinčár, and Peter Hrinčár. It's like dancing to music, but in a virtual world. In the game, you use special glowing sabers to slice through blocks that come at you in time with the music. The blocks are like musical beats.

It has lots of different funky environments that look really cool with bright colors and neon lights. You feel like you're in a dream world! The game first came out in May 2018, but it wasn't fully finished yet. Then, on May 21, 2019, it was officially released for PlayStation 4 and computers that run Windows.

You can play it with different virtual reality headsets like HTC Vive, Oculus Quest, PlayStation VR, and others. So, if you love music and dancing, and you've got a virtual reality headset, you should totally check out Beat Saber.

Beat Saber Gameplay

In Beat Saber, players use VR controllers to wield glowing sabers, aiming to slice through approaching blocks in time with music beats. The sabers are usually red and blue, but players can change their colors. Blocks appear in patterns on a grid, each marked with arrows or dots indicating the direction to slice.

Correctly slicing a block earns points, while hitting bombs or avoiding obstacles keeps players safe. There's a bar that fills as players hit notes correctly, but it decreases if they miss or slice in the wrong direction. If it empties, the game ends, unless the "No Fail" setting is on. Combos, which happen when players slice blocks in succession, earn extra points.

New mechanics, like Chains and arcs, were added in updates. Chains involve slicing in a sequence, while arcs show the path to follow. Multiplayer modes allow players to compete against each other, earning badges for good performance. Initially, Beat Saber came with ten songs, but more have been added through updates and downloadable content packs. Players can also add custom songs and maps through community-made modifications. Each song has different difficulty levels, from Easy to Expert+
