Super Mario Bros Wonder

In 2023, Nintendo released a game called "Super Mario Bros. Wonder" exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. This game is special because it brings back the classic side-scrolling style that Mario games were known for, something we haven't seen in a new game since "New Super Mario Bros. U" back in 2012.

Many game experts and players gave the game a lot of praise, saying it's really good. It's a return to the beloved style of Mario games that fans have enjoyed for years. It was developed by Nintendo EPD and published by Nintendo, and it's part of the Super Mario series.

Shiro Mouri directed the game, with Takashi Tezuka as the producer and various other talented folks involved in its design, programming, art, writing, and music. It's made for the Nintendo Switch and was released on October 20, 2023. This game falls under the platform genre and offers both single-player and multiplayer modes, making it suitable for solo or cooperative play.

Super Mario Bros Wonder Gameplay

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is a side-scrolling platform game where you can play as one of eight characters, including Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and others, in the Flower Kingdom. Your goal is to complete levels while avoiding enemies like Goombas and Piranha Plants, using Warp Pipes to move around. In each stage, you can find special "Wonder Seeds" to collect.

New power-ups in the game include a fruit that turns you into an elephant, a flower that lets you make bubbles to capture enemies, a drill hat, and the unique Wonder Flower that creates weird effects like animated pipes and changes in character appearances and abilities. Players can also use badges for extra abilities, which come in three types: Action, Boost, and Expert badges. You can play with friends locally or online, with support for up to four players.

Super Mario Bros Wonder Plot

In the game's story, Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, Toads, and other characters are invited to the Flower Kingdom ruled by Prince Florian, home to cute creatures called Poplins. While Prince Florian is demonstrating the magical Wonder Flower, the troublemaker Bowser swoops in and swipes the flower, causing chaos by merging with the castle and turning Poplin's homes into prison cells.

To save the day, Mario and his gang team up with Prince Florian, along with some Yoshis and Nabbit. They aim to recover the stolen flower, free the trapped Poplins, and restore peace. To tackle Bowser and his fortress, they need to collect six Royal Seeds, precious treasures in the Flower Kingdom.

Their journey includes battles with Bowser's forces, encounters with Bowser Jr., and cooperation with the Poplins. With all six Royal Seeds in hand, they face Castle Bowser, where Bowser plans to misuse the Wonder power. After a triumphant showdown, Bowser is back to his old self, the Flower Kingdom is saved, and they even gain a seventh Royal Seed. In the end, everyone celebrates the kingdom's restoration.
