Kazuya, now revealing his devil form, declares a new King of Iron Fist Tournament where nations' representatives must fight, with the winner's nation spared and the losing nation facing destruction.
Jin, recovering from injuries, discovers he can no longer activate his devil powers at will. He joins the tournament qualifiers in Japan, meeting a Mishima Polytechnic student named Reina, who resembles his grandfather, Heihachi. Jin believes he can regain control of his devil powers and journeys to the Kazama Sanctum. Kazuya, determined to destroy the rebel army, faces opposition from Yggdrasil, the UN Independent Forces, and former tournament combatants.
In a subconscious battle, Jin confronts his devil self, ultimately accepting and gaining full control of his powers.
