The quest will lead the player to Ked Bardu, a significant town within Act 3's Dry Steppes region. The player should speak to the Magistrate there to kickstart the Season of Blood quest chain.
Finding the Missing Merchant:
The player's initial objective is to locate a missing merchant in Vasily's Reach, situated north of Ked Bardu. Utilizing a mount to reach this location, they should explore the upper part of the area.
There, they will discover a hole in the ground leading to a concealed dungeon. Clearing this dungeon, vanquishing the creatures inside, and returning to the Magistrate in town completes the "Blood Money" quest and progresses the seasonal quest chain.
The Hunter's Chase:
Back at the Magistrate's office, the player faces an ambush by a group of vampires. Overcoming this challenge will earn them Potent Blood and Vampiric Powers, which are unique to this season.
These powers can be accessed and used through the player's inventory by selecting the "Vampiric Powers" tab. Opening a cache provided by the Magistrate will yield more Potent Blood, a currency used to unlock additional Vampiric Powers. Before leaving, it is recommended to interact with the Blood Altar to acquire more Potent Blood.
Vampiric Powers are closely connected to Pacts, unique symbols present on the player's armor. Each piece of armor can bear up to five Pacts. Using Pact Consumables obtained through Season of Blood content, players can modify, add, or re-roll these symbols to enhance their character.
Summons Of The Deathless:
The subsequent quest in the seasonal chain, "Summons of the Deathless," becomes accessible after completing the first Chapter of Battle Pass challenges.
The player needs to meet the Magistrate in the Tomb of Hallows, located in the Amber Sands of Kehjistan, north of the Altar of Ruin Stronghold. Inside the dungeon, they should clear out the vampire's presence and proceed.
Towards the end of the dungeon, the Magistrate will return to town and instruct the player to continue investigating. A secret vampire den can be unveiled behind a wall. After defeating the Vampire Lord's minions and interacting with the Blood Altar in the center of the arena, the player will obtain a substantial amount of Potent Blood and advance the quest chain.
Finally, they should return to Ked Bardu to meet with Erys.
A Witness In The Dust:
The final part of the quest chain, "A Witness in the Dust," requires the player to clear a dungeon in the company of Hunter Erys.
To continue the quest, players must travel to the Fetid Mausoleum in Hawezar, located west of the Tree of Whispers. Inside the dungeon, they should look out for a coffin towards the end that contains the Profane Vampire Skull Erys seeks.
Once the player acquires the skull, they can leave the dungeon, but it is recommended to complete the dungeon for character progression.
To further advance in the Season Journey, players will need to complete the second Chapter of Battle Pass challenges and continue leveling up their character.
