Chad Fryar, a 37-year-old resident of Malvern, was crossing the tracks on Richwoods Road near Arkadelphia at around 2 p.m. on Thursday. At that time, a Union Pacific train collided with the passenger side of his 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, according to a preliminary fatality report from the Arkansas State Police.
The truck became wedged against the front of the train and was dragged approximately 2,400 feet along the tracks before the locomotive came to a stop. Although the fatality report did not mention the names of the children, a Facebook post from the CrossRoads Cowboy Church, where Fryar was employed, identified the deceased as Marlee Jo and Dana Kate and the injured child as Bo Henry.
