Ruined City Underground

Be sure to check for chests containing helpful items. After the chest above, you can choose to go left or right. Going right will lead to a dead end but there's an item you can grab. Take the left path to continue, and you'll encounter more enemies. You can experiment with new weapons and items as you discover them.
Eventually, you'll come to a gate that can be opened, and after climbing a ladder, you'll reach a Rotten Mistle that you can purify to unlock a section of the map. Rest at a nearby Mistle to level up and heal before continuing down the path. At a split in the path, take a right to grab some Haze and items before continuing to leave. You'll encounter more enemies, but use the Back Attack move to take them out more easily. Breakthrough boxes to progress through the narrow path and watch out for slime creatures that drop from the ceiling. Finally, you'll reach a large open area, where you can drop down to continue forward and find another Mistle to activate.
Natural Cavern Mistel
To proceed, you need to go back through the narrow path in the cave from the Mistle. This path leads to a Revenant Stranger who can assist you. If you agree to collaborate with the Stranger, you will spot a ramp with a ladder at the top near you. This is one way to reach the next section. Alternatively, you may continue straight ahead and venture deeper into the cave. Regardless, your destination is a vast open space with a few ramps. A ladder is visible just ahead, so climb it to access the following section. Continue your journey and you'll eventually come across a ladder leading down. After that, activate the Bloodspring, which will initiate another cutscene. Finally, climb the nearby ramp to move on.
Natural Cavern Depths
Upon reaching the top, you'll encounter another Mistle. Activate it, and continue your journey along the fairly linear path. Soon enough, you'll stumble upon a chest and a door. Proceed through this narrow path, and you'll discover a set of stairs. Ascend to the top of the stairs, exit through the door, and hang a right to encounter more slime creatures clinging to the ceiling. Continue along this path, and you'll discover another Rotten Mistle. Purify it and take the nearby ramp that leads to the outside world. Finally, you'll bask in the sunlight! Ascend to the top of the ramp, and a cutscene will initiate, which leads to your first boss fight.
Oliver Collins - Boss Fight
Oliver Collins is the primary boss in the game, and it serves as a tutorial for how these fights work. All battles take place in an open arena, where players must be attentive to the enemy's movements and attack in between animations. Additionally, be mindful of Oliver's second phase, in which he transforms into a massive beast that inflicts even more damage. Home Base
Take some time to explore and familiarize yourself with your surroundings. Check out the local vendors and what they have to offer. When you're ready, speak with Louis and provide him with a blood sample. Head to your bedroom and rest. Once you awaken, return to Louis, have a conversation, and obtain the Prometheus Blood Code. Afterward, talk to Louis again, and a cutscene will ensue. Subsequently, teleport to the Outer Crossroads using the nearby Mistle and head back to the Ruined City Underground to begin the next section, the Ruined City Center.

Exit the building and proceed forward along the path. It's a relatively straightforward course that will take you to the next section. Continue moving ahead, clearing debris, and battling various foes. Don't forget to scour the area for valuable items hidden in crevices. After some time, you'll encounter a parking garage. Enter the structure and travel along the right side while dispatching adversaries. Ultimately, you'll encounter an enormous and intimidating foe. Fear not, though, as a Mistle is nearby, allowing you to quickly sprint to safety if you're not ready to take on the enemy.
Parking Garage Mistle
Rest at the Mistle before you decide which path to take - left or straight. If you go straight, you'll come across a linear path with enemies hiding in nooks and crannies. Keep an eye out for a Trial of Blood area, which will test your combat skills. Follow the path until you reach a large hole in the ground with a ladder that leads down. Purify the Rotten Mistle and create a shortcut by riding the elevator up and exiting to the left. Backtrack to the Parking Garage and take the right path past the rusted truck, then follow the narrow path and fight any enemies in your way. Unlock the shortcut by going up the stairs to the left in the garage. Exit to the left and cross the narrow bridge to fight the enemies on the left path. Look out for the hidden chest on the right side after the curve. Take the stairs up and cross the tiny bridge to reach the next section. Rest at the Mistle before deciding which path to take - left or straight.
Park Ruins Mistle
After resting at the nearby Mistle, continue straight ahead, passing a ladder on the right that you can't use yet. As you approach the next split, be ready to face a large enemy on your left before proceeding along the left path. Make sure to purify the Mistle before preparing for the upcoming boss fights against the Butterfly of Delirium.
Butterfly of Delirium - Boss Fight
Defeating the Butterfly of Delirium is a daunting task, especially if you're not well-prepared. Its poison attacks and quick dashes are the main challenges to watch out for. After defeating the boss, take a rest at the Mistle and move forward to trigger a cutscene where you'll find a magnificent tree. Howling Pit
The Howling Pit is a challenging area in Code Vein, divided into two large sections filled with water and fog. The player's goal is to reach the middle of the area using levers that shoot giant flames in the air as waypoints. Start by hitting the first lever by the starting Mistle and explore the area. Head to the North-East to find the next lever and flame, located up a ramp with winged enemies. Then head to the East to the next rotten Mistle, and West to the next flame and Mistle. Take out enemies and activate the flames and Mistles along the way. Find the narrow path guarded by two large creatures in front of a yellow taxi against the wall and follow it to the next level and Mistle. Rest at the Mistle after activating the lever.
Dried up Trenches
Similar to the Howling Pit, the Dried-up Trenches is a treacherous area with multiple paths that can be disorienting. However, this guide will ensure you stay on track. Start by following the linear path from the Mistle along the ledge, watching out for lurking enemies. At a split, choose the cave on your left. Climb up the ramp, then drop off at the piece of wood on your left. Follow the path until you reach a ladder. Defeat the enemy guarding the chest before climbing up and continuing to the end. Drop down and head left towards the cave entrance, but look for another piece of wood on the ground to drop onto a spiky platform.
Travel right and find a rotten Mistle near the cave. Purify it, then head back across the spiky platform and up the ladder, defeating any large enemies. Drop off the ledge and proceed past the cave entrance and fiery enemies. When you come to a dilapidated building on your right, take the path to the right and defeat nearby enemies. Drop off before the bridge and enter the nearby cave to activate a Mistle. Climb up the ladder to reach the roof of the dilapidated building. Remember the left path for later, but for now, continue to the spiky platform in the distance
Cathedral of the Sacred Blood:
This is the first area in the game where the player must navigate through a vampire-infested cathedral to find a way out. The area is known for its challenging boss fights, including the boss fights against the Queen's Knight.

To reach the first Rotten Mistle, head down the stairs and defeat the enemy waiting for you. Then, head up the stairs and make a left at the split. Take a right at the next split to enter a building where you can defeat an enemy and obtain the Regen Activation Factor. After leaving the building, turn left and follow the path until you reach another split. Take a left and continue on until you reach a building with an enemy patrolling inside. Defeat the enemy and exit the building to the right, then take the left path at the split.
In the circular area ahead, defeat the enemy guarding the ladder and proceed down. Drop down again and re-enter the building to take out another enemy and obtain an item from a chest. After that, head outside and drop down once more to reach the first Rotten Mistle. Follow the path inside and up some stairs until you reach a lever that opens a shortcut. Activate it and exit to the right. Take the right path downstairs to obtain an item, then head back up and proceed ahead to another drop-off. Drop down and enter the next building to reach a Mistle where you can rest and prepare for the next challenge.
Artifice Tower Mistle
As you exit the room, look left and drop down onto the ledge below. Follow the path, climb up the ladder, and activate the next lever. Drop down again and head towards the newly opened door on the left. Defeat the purple enemy and climb up the steps to face another foe. Follow the linear path until you reach a room with two more enemies, then take them out and proceed to another drop-off. Re-enter the building, activate the next lever, and go back outside to drop down to yet another ledge. Defeat the large enemy inside and head towards the ladder. After climbing up, defend yourself against two enemies on the roof. Take a left and follow the linear path down some stairs, then climb up a spiral staircase to reach another Mistle. Rest, level up, visit Home Base, and prepare for what's to come.
Outlook Tower Mistle
As you reach the split, take the only available path to the right and proceed inside. Go down the spiral staircase and exit the building. You'll see another split, so make a left and defeat the enemy in the distance to obtain the Regen Activation Factor. Return to the split and take the other path to the next building. Eliminate the enemies both upstairs and downstairs, and exit through the path upstairs. Take a right, wrap around the building, and head through a linear section towards some steps with a rotten Mistle across a gap.
Climb the steps, but the door on the right cannot be opened at the moment. Instead, take the path on the right until you reach another split. Go right again and drop down to a ledge on the left. Take another right and look for the next drop-off with some stairs ahead. This will lead you back inside a building with a lever.
Activate the lever to create a shortcut and purify the rotten Mistle. Return to the building and drop off the ledge on your right. Activate both levers, exit the building, and climb up the ladder. Take the left path up some stairs and drop down to the ledge below leading to the next building and a rotten Mistle. Climb the ladder, watch out for the two enemies, and head up the spiraling stairs to grab the item. Drop down, climb the ladder above, follow the path and head back down the ladder to the next Mistle. Rest here and get ready to proceed.
Gated Room Mistle
As you move forward, you'll see an intriguing door ahead that you won't be able to pass through just yet. Keep it in mind for later and take the only available path out. Exit the building, defeat the enemy, and drop down to the right to a platform below. Follow the path, up the spiraling stairs, and you'll arrive at an area with three paths to choose from. Take the leftmost path, and you'll encounter three enemies by a lever. Eliminate them and activate the lever. A door below will open, so drop down, take out the enemy, and proceed through the building. Just before the door ahead, take the last left path, drop down twice, and follow the path to the next building. After climbing the spiral stairs and defeating the large enemy, enter the building, and activate both levers. One will create a shortcut while the other will lead you to the next path. Head back to the large enemy and drop off to the right, purify the rotten Mistle, drop down again, and take out the enemy on the left.
Climb up the ladder, grab the item, and activate the lever. Before jumping down, eliminate the enemy that awaits, drop down, defeat the second enemy, and exit through the door you just opened. Finally, take the path to the next boss fight.
Argent Wolf Berserker - Boss Fight
Defeating the Argent Wolf Berserker boss can be a challenge, but utilizing backstab attacks can make the fight easier. It's important to stick behind the boss to avoid being hit. Rest at the nearby Mistle and climb up the nearby ladder to defeat the waiting enemy and progress to the next area. Climb up the next ladder to grab an item from a box and then take the stairs up to a circular room. Defeat the enemy and climb the ladder located outside to reach a ledge. Follow the path and you'll find two paths - a ladder up and a ladder down. Take the ladder up to reach the roof and defeat the enemies guarding a chest containing the Shoddy Key. Climb down two sets of ladders to reach a door and use the lever to open it.
In the next circular room, head down the center steps and keep following the path. Take the stairs up and defeat the enemy in the next circular room. Take the other corridor that leads to a ladder and defeat the enemy outside. Grab the items and head back towards the spiral stairs that lead up. Defeat the enemies and drop down below to purify the Mistle. After that, head back upstairs to the previous room and continue onward to reach another split. Take the spiraling stairs in the middle to reach the next area. At the top, drop down to the platform below to purify another rotten Mistle. From here, take the stairs up to the next floor to reach another Mistle. Activate it and rest. Remember to come back for the item that transports you to the next area later.
Successor of the Ribcage - Boss Fight
The upcoming boss may seem intimidating, but it's not the toughest you've faced yet. Use the pillars to block its attacks and then close in for some damage. Be sure to dodge its AOE flame attack by running to the opposite side of the arena when it teleports. The strategy remains mostly the same for the second encounter, except this time the boss has a shield that needs breaking. Once you're victorious, head through the door it was guarding, grab the item below, and warp back to the Inner Tower Mistle. Open the previously locked door and use the purple warp point to reach the Ridge of Frozen Souls. But before you go, consider backtracking to the Memory of Player by warping back to the Cathedral Perimeter.
