Days of Our Lives
Days of Our Lives, often called Days or DOOL, is a very popular American TV show. It used to be on NBC from 1965 to 2022 and is one of the oldest TV dramas in the world. It's been on almost every weekday since November 8, 1965.
The show takes place in a made-up city called Salem, which is in Illinois. It mainly focuses on two families, the Bradys and the Hortons. There are also other families like the DiMeras and Kiriakises that appear a lot. Frances Reid, who played the main mom in the Horton family, was on the show from the very start until she passed away in 2010.
One of the actors, Suzanne Rogers, has been on the show since 1973, which is a really long time. She celebrated 40 years on the show in 2013. Another actor, Susan Seaforth Hayes, has been on the show since 1968, making her the only one to be on it in all seven decades it's been on.
In 1975, they made the episodes longer, going from 30 minutes to an hour each day. The show is loved all around the world and has been on TV in many different countries. In the 1970s, it was known for being really bold and talking about things that other shows didn't.
Ken Corday is in charge of the show, and he's been doing it since his mom, Betty, took a step back in 1986. As of March 2023, the show will keep going until at least September 2025. They celebrated their 14,000th episode on December 17, 2020.

Where to Watch Days of Our Lives?
Days of Our Lives has been available on various platforms over the years. In July 2003, episodes became accessible on the now-closed SoapCity website, offering both same-day and archived episodes for streaming or download. In 2007, episodes were made available on iTunes.
Soapnet, a cable network, started airing same-day reruns of Days of Our Lives on weeknights. This continued until the network's closure in 2013. Pop, another network, also aired same-day reruns for a period but later discontinued it.
NBC began offering same-day episodes for streaming on their website in 2009. The ten most recent episodes could be viewed for 16 days after their original airdate. The show was also available on Hulu until 2015 when it was removed.
Days of Our Lives moved exclusively to Peacock, NBCUniversal's streaming service, after 57 years on NBC. This made NBC the first of the major networks (often referred to as the "Big Three") not to air any daytime soap operas on broadcast television.
Days of Our Lives Spin-offs
Days of Our Lives has some special spin-off shows that aired on the streaming service Peacock. One of them is called "Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem," which was a limited series with five episodes. It featured familiar faces like Lisa Rinna and Deidre Hall, along with other actors. The series first premiered on September 6, 2021, and ran until September 10. They even announced a second chapter with five more episodes that aired from July 11 to 15, 2022. They added more actors like Kristian Alfonso and Peter Reckell.
Another spin-off is called "Days of Our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas." It's a special holiday film announced in November 2021. This film stars Chandler Massey and Eileen Davidson and premiered on December 16, 2021, exclusively on Peacock. Alison Sweeney, another well-known actor, also joined the cast
