How to get Wicked Implement?

Exotic Fishing

In this step, you need to catch three specific exotic fish in different locations: the EDZ, Nessus, and the Throne World fishing spots. The exotic catch rate is currently doubled, making it easier to complete. Once you have caught these fish, deposit them in the HELM to obtain three Broken Blade items.

Broken Blades

With the three Broken Blades in your possession, embark on a Deep Dive activity. There are three locations where you need to deposit these blades before reaching the second encounter. It doesn't matter if you have already deposited them in previous weeks. One location is in the water part before the first encounter, another is a door that opens to the left after the first encounter, and the last one is in the second water part. Refer to a video guide for specific locations. Only one person in your team needs to have completed the exotic fish step for this to work.

Mission Start

After activating the three statues and enduring Xivu's taunts, you will complete the second encounter. Avoid activating any of the darkness trials as they will make the subsequent steps harder. A door will open to the right of the arena, leading you to three statues that need to be reactivated. Proceed through underwater areas, battle Taken enemies, and reach the first boss.

First Boss

The first boss encounter serves as a tutorial for the mechanics. You must kill three yellow bar minotaurs to acquire a x3 buff, enabling you to deal actual damage to the boss. The first segment is a test with a small portion of the boss's health. In the second part, after shooting two darkness triggers (including one hidden under the stairs), the real fight begins, and a 10-minute timer starts. The second boss is not particularly difficult; shoot darkness triggers to reveal additional minotaurs and focus your firepower on the boss. Efficiency is crucial as time is limited.

Tormentor Boss

This is the challenging part. You will navigate a labyrinth, searching for Minotaurs in the corners while being pursued by the Tormentor boss, who can slam and suppress you. Once all three Minotaurs are defeated, regroup in the middle for the damage phase. If you die after this phase, you will lose the buff and cannot deal damage until the next round.

For loadouts, Divinity and Linear Fusions have shown success, but others have used Divinity and the Retrofit Escapade machine gun. Thunderlord's lightning strikes can stun the boss. Keep in mind that the boss has a lot of health, frequently moving, making it hard to hit the critical spot (hence the use of Divinity).

Wicked Implement

Defeat the boss and ascend some stairs to discover another Veil statue. Claim the Wicked Implement gun and explore the maze to shoot seven floating pyramid objects for XP, a triumph, and new dialogue from Xivu when you return to the statue.

What does Wicked Implement do?

The Wicked Implement is a visually stunning Exotic scout rifle in Destiny 2, featuring a 140 RPM (Rounds Per Minute) rate of fire. This weapon offers several perks that cater specifically to Stasis enthusiasts engaged in endgame content. Its Intrinsic perk, Creeping Attrition, provides the ability to slow targets with rapid precision hits. This effect can be especially advantageous in controlling and immobilizing enemies.

Additionally, the Exotic perk, Tithing Harvest, grants the ability to spawn a Stasis Shard upon killing enemies that have been slowed by Creeping Attrition. The Stasis Shard then returns to the player, instantly reloading the Wicked Implement. Importantly, this Stasis Shard functions as a regular Stasis Shard, allowing players to capitalize on various armor mods and Stasis Fragments for enhanced synergy and customization.

While the Wicked Implement may not excel in terms of raw damage output, its true potential shines in activities featuring Champions, as the slowing and freezing effect can effectively stun Overload and Unstoppable Champions. Furthermore, it proves particularly effective against basic enemies that possess enough durability to be frozen, making it a valuable asset in encounters such as those found in Grandmaster Nightfalls.

With its unique perks and versatility, the Wicked Implement offers Stasis-lovers an intriguing option for tackling challenging endgame content. By harnessing its freezing capabilities and leveraging the accompanying Stasis Shard mechanics, players can unlock the weapon's full potential in encounters that demand crowd control and strategic maneuvering.
