Diablo 4 Wiki

Blizzard Entertainment is currently developing and publishing Diablo IV, an action role-playing game that serves as the fourth primary installment in the Diablo series. The game was unveiled at BlizzCon 2019 on November 1, 2019, and its official release date is set for June 6, 2023. The game will feature hallmark elements of the series, such as procedurally generated dungeons and character-building focused on collecting loot, alongside new components like an open world and player versus player (PVP) interactions. The game will offer five playable classes, including the Barbarian, Sorceress, Druid, Rogue, and Necromancer, all of which have appeared in previous Diablo games. Players will guide their character through quests and battles in Sanctuary as Lilith, who was once banished, returns to cause chaos.

Diablo 4 Best Class Tier List

Barbarian (S Tier)

The Barbarian is a powerful melee class that specializes in close-range combat and can deal massive damage. Its offensive and defensive attacks are straightforward, making it an easy-to-use class. The class mechanic, known as the Arsenal system, allows the Barbarian to equip and swap about four weapons at a time, giving players unique playstyle customization. This system encourages players to collect a variety of weapons to take advantage of the class's build diversity and item progression. In terms of stats, investing in Strength, Health regeneration, and Dexterity increases the chance of landing a critical hit.

Rogue (S Tier)

The Rogue is a stealthy assassin class that excels in single-target damage and has fast movement speed. It can switch between melee and ranged weapons, such as daggers, swords, and bows. While the Rogue's damage may be lower at the beginning, it allows players to stay at a safer distance when fighting against harder enemies. The class mechanic, known as Talent Specializations, is divided into combo points and preparation, and each has its unique quest line. The third specialization becomes available only around reaching level 30, and the earliest Access playthroughs were only level 20 or 25. The Rogue's primary stats are dexterity to amplify skill damage and improve Dodge, strength to enhance damage, and Health to increase survivability.

Necromancer (S Tier)

The Necromancer is a versatile class that can be a crowd controller, a summoner, a damage dealer, or a support player. Like the Barbarian and Rogue, the Necromancer can use various weapons such as swords, daggers, wands, and scythes. The Necromancer's class mechanic, called The Book of Dead, allows players to summon undead minions and buff up their skill damage using the corpse resource created from the remains of fallen enemies or spell effects. The Necromancer has four distinct skills: Bone Prison, Darkness, Blood Surge, and Army. Bone Prison deals physical damage to multiple enemies and is usually used together with other offense of skills. Darkness skill deals damage over time to curse enemies. Blood skill allows the Necromancer to restore health with every hit and gain huge strength. Army lets players summon skeletons back to life to fight by their side.

Sorcerer Class (A Tier)

Sorcerer class is a popular mage class that belongs to the A tier in Diablo 4. This class has a high-risk and high-reward playstyle, and although it's very fragile, it can deal massive amounts of damage by casting fire, ice, and lightning spells. In group content and against bosses, the sorcerer's skills are very useful. Sorcerers have a variety of skills that will either way burn or completely freeze your enemies, making them vulnerable to attacks. Lightning spells are well-balanced in terms of dealing a decent amount of damage and controlling encounters to your advantage.

Sorcerer Skills

Fire spells synergize very well with the burning status effect to inflict damage over time, but beyond this, they won't provide you with much utility besides the raw damage. Ice spells will do less damage but give you more utilities such as freezing or slower movement speed. Sorcerer stats require Intelligence to boost the damage of your spells, dexterity to improve the speed of your Mana recovery, and Willpower to improve your critical chance and much more. The sorcerer's special class mechanic is called the Enchantment system that will change how a skill works.

Sorcerer Playstyle

If you're looking for a typical Mage class that has very high AoE damage but is very squishy and only place from range, then the sorcerer class is for you.

Druid Class (A Tier)

The Druid class is one of the more unique classes that hasn't been seen since Diablo 2. The main ability of the Druid is to change his physical form from a human to a bear or even a werewolf. The new form will only last for a sure duration until you use a different type of skill. Moreover, this class will also use magic, specializing in Casting Earth and Storm spells. The Druid can use a crashing blow skill that will damage a target by a certain percentage of their entire health.

Druid Skills & Mechanics

The Diablo 4 Druid has a companion that automatically appears when you're in combat. However, you will be able to use unique companion skills to deal more pet damage in terms of the Druid's performance. Compared to other classes, the Druid is another jack-of-all-trades type of character that focuses more on supporting skills but can do pretty good damage but only have longer cooldowns. It hasn't been revealed how many Spirit types are available, but each one of them will grant up to 6 offensive and defensive passive effects and much more.

Druid Playstyle

If you're looking to play a class with one of the most unique playstyles that haven't been seen in many games, then the Druid class is for you. It's not the most powerful class but can still compete against the rest of the classes, or you can use it for group content.

Diablo 4 Gameplay

The gameplay of the series is centered around defeating increasingly difficult enemies to obtain stronger equipment, using customized character class skills and talent trees. Enemies are categorized into different monster families based on their theme, combat style, and location, with each family containing unique archetypes that have different roles and abilities. Diablo IV aims for a more grounded story than its predecessor, focusing on the simple folk of Sanctuary rather than high-fantasy themes. Character effectiveness in combat is determined by attributes and equipped items, with offensive and defensive stats increasing damage output and damage resistance. Diablo IV introduces three new attributes - Angelic, Demonic, and Ancestral Power. The game features limited trading and crafting, with microtransactions only available for cosmetic items. An internet connection is required to play the game, and limited-time seasons alter legendary powers to shift the meta-game
