Gameloft, the company behind Disney Dreamlight Valley, has released a survey to find out which characters players want in the game's future updates. They're considering options like Lumiere and Cogsworth, Timon and Pumbaa, or Rex and Bo Peep, and they want players to share their preferences.
The first paid expansion for the game, called A Rift in Time, has already introduced a new world called Eternity Isle. This expansion includes three new areas to explore: Ancient’s Landing, Glittering Dunes, and Wild Tangle, along with new characters, quests, and resources. Gameloft has plans to continue supporting the game in the coming months.
The survey not only asks about characters but also hints at potential new Star Path themes for future updates. Recent paths have focused on the Frozen franchise, and other options being considered include a Disney Classics Star Path featuring characters like Pinocchio, Peter Pan, and Robin Hood.
Gameloft is actively engaging with the Disney Dreamlight Valley community, seeking input from players to shape the game's future. Despite the disappointment from some players about the shift from a free-to-play model, Gameloft is committed to supporting the game. They've even announced a 2024 roadmap, promising the addition of Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog, as well as Mike and Sully from Monsters Inc., by the end of Summer 2024, without any extra cost to players.
