Who Was Don Calhoun?
Don Calhoun was an American professional football running back who played for the Buffalo Bills, the New England Patriots, and the Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League (NFL) for nine seasons. He also played for the New Jersey Generals in the United States Football League.
Calhoun attended Wichita High School North and Kansas State University, where he played football before being drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the tenth round of the 1974 NFL Draft. In recognition of his athletic achievements, Calhoun was inducted into both the Wichita Sports Hall of Fame and the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame in 2009.
In 2010, he was also inducted into the Wichita North High School Hall of Fame.Calhoun passed away at the age of 68 in Derby, Kansas, on December 14, 2020.
