Don's surviving family includes his sister Judy and her husband Ed Vroman of Franklin, sister Marie Dooley of Florida, brother Larry of Baton Rouge, LA, daughter Donna and her husband Tom Kaddick of Bellingham, sons Robert of Florida, Patrick of Medway, and Peter and his wife Laura of Franklin, as well as 17 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on May 26, 2012, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Millis, with burial at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton, accompanied by Military Honors. Visiting hours were on May 25th at the Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home in Medfield. In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations to the Natick Visiting Nurse Association.
