Goku forms a friendship with Lord Zen, the Supreme Ruler overseeing all universes, and vows to find him a companion. However, their peaceful time is disrupted when Future Trunks returns with alarming news of an enemy known as Goku Black, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Goku himself.

Investigations reveal that Goku Black is actually Zamasu, an apprentice of the Supreme Kai from Universe Ten. Zamasu, using the Super Dragon Balls, has stolen Goku's body from a parallel reality and intends to eliminate all humans, wielding Goku's power to seize control of the universe.

In a climactic showdown, Future Zen successfully eliminates Zamasu and erases the dark future timeline. Together with Goku, Future Zen travels back to the present, where he befriends Present Zen. Future Trunks, on the other hand, embarks on a journey to his own alternate timeline.

In the future, both Zens orchestrate the grand Tournament of Power, featuring teams of warriors from eight out of the twelve universes. The defeated universes face permanent erasure.

Frieza, briefly revived, joins Goku, his allies, Android 17, and others in the tournament, engaging in fierce battles against formidable opponents like Jiren from Universe Eleven. Throughout the tournament, Goku undergoes a transformation called Ultra Instinct, attaining a state where he fights instinctively, without relying on conscious thought.

In the midst of Sun Wukong's anguished yell, he spat out a mouthful of blood, causing his entire being to be thrown off balance and sent tumbling head over heels. Sustaining an injury, Sun Wukong made the decision to disengage from the Zizai Extreme Intentional Art state.

However, Shenlong, with swift precision, targeted him and launched a surprise attack, delivering a forceful kick. The impolite dragon, measuring ten meters in length and weighing ten tons, pursued Sun Wukong, even stepping on his foot. In response, Killing God Wukong let out a cry and struck back at the dragon with both hands.
