• Notably, Kidd performed a daring motorcycle stunt in the 1979 film "Hanover Street," doubling for Harrison Ford as he jumped a 120 feet railway cutting at 90 miles per hour in Shepton Mallet, Somerset.
• His role as stunt biker Dave Munday in the 1981 film "Riding High" featured a motorcycle jump across an 80-foot gap in a disused viaduct over the Blackwater River in Essex.
• In 1993, Kidd achieved another milestone by jumping over the Great Wall of China on a motorcycle.
• Despite an extensive career with over 12,000 jumps, Kidd did not obtain a UK motorcycle license until 1995.
• Kidd shared his life experiences after the accident in a 2002 episode of Russell Brand's TV documentary series, "RE:Brand."
• In 2007, Kidd took control of a motorcycle again to formally open the Beyond Boundaries Live 2007 Exhibition at Sandown Park, Esher.
• On July 17, 2012, Kidd had the honor of carrying the Olympic Torch during its relay journey through Lewes, East Sussex.
