Escape Academy Walkthrough

At the start of the Escape Room game, you will encounter an employee who will provide instructions. You can choose to read the dialogue or skip it using the "cn_start" button. Afterward, you'll need to sign a waiver before commencing the first task. In this task, your objective is to locate three goblets by interacting with a safe. To open the safe, input the code "FREE." Inside, you will find the Key of Truth.

Proceed to the door behind you and utilize the Key of Truth to unlock it. This will lead you to the entrance area, where no employee will be present. Make your way to the notice board and collect the five flyers attached to it. To complete this step, use a second controller. Position your second character beside you and, using player 1, transfer all five business cards to player 2. Then, have player 2 return the cards to player 1. This action will unlock the "Exchange Students" achievement.

After acquiring the flyers, turn right to find a partially open door marked "Restricted: Keep Out." Interact with the door to open it and enter the room. Inside, you'll discover three scanners positioned below a mounted fish plaque on the back wall. Engage with the scanners and scan Jeb's Biz Card into the first scanner, Allie's Biz Card into the second scanner, and E.E.L's Biz Card into the third scanner. As a result, the plaque above will rise, revealing the Key of Lies. Collect the key and exit the room.

Across from the door, you'll notice a toilet door. Unlock it using the Key of Lies and enter the restroom. Proceed to the farthest cubicle on the right, which has an Out of Order sign, and open the door. Descend both sets of stairs you find until you reach a train platform at the bottom. The employee you encountered earlier will be waiting for you there.

Before interacting with the employee, pick up "The Escapist Times" newspaper from the stack next to the payphones on the left. Reading ten of these newspapers throughout the game is required, and there are a total of thirteen newspapers to find. Read the first one (Escapist Time #1/10).

Engage in conversation with the employee to uncover the truth, and then interact with the train to board it. After pressing the "cn_A" button, a report card and a summary of your performance for the level will be displayed. Aim to complete this level within 1 minute and 49 seconds without using any hints to achieve an A+ ranking. Accomplishing this will also earn you an achievement.

Entrance Exam

At the start of this level, you'll encounter a map of the Escape Academy Campus. Currently, only the Headmaster's Office, located at the top of the screen, is accessible. Speak with the girl in red outside the door before proceeding to the challenge. While it is possible to complete this challenge in under 30 seconds, it's recommended to first obtain a miscellaneous achievement and a copy of The Escapist Times.

Once the challenge begins, turn left and approach the purple carpet against the wall, which features an eye design. On top of it, you'll find a stack of newspapers containing your second copy of The Escapist Times (#2/10). Next, turn around and head toward the middle bookshelf. Interact with it and attempt to push one of the books. A pop-up message will appear, stating that all the books are fake. Push the books labeled Egypt, Japan, and Greece to reveal a hidden area.

Proceed to the piano and examine it. To unlock an achievement, you must play the tune of "Mary Had A Little Lamb." The notes are as follows:

Once you play the correct tune, the "Musical Prodigy" achievement will be unlocked. Return to the doorway and interact with the machine next to the door. Enter the names Sandra, Jacqueline, and Solange. Press the unlock button to complete the challenge.

Upon completing the challenge, you will receive an A+ grade and a completion time of 3 minutes and 32 seconds. If you wish to improve your time or correct any mistakes made during the musical portion, you can input the names into the console as soon as the level starts.​

​Chapter Two: Winter Term

In Chapter Two of the game, Winter Term, the story continues with the player finding themselves back in their dormitory. Upon leaving the dormitory, more areas on the map become available for exploration. The first stop should be the Headmaster's Office, where a conversation with Eel and the Headmaster awaits. After that, proceed to the Quad and have a chat with Gillian. Finally, make your way to the Library and engage in a conversation with Professor Slip.

The next objective is to escape from The Cafeteria, which is located southwest of the Quad. Upon arriving at The Cafeteria, inspect Jeb's back to initiate the escape sequence.

Trial By Taste

To start the escape, turn around and locate a conveyor belt next to Jeb. The belt will toss out plates of food, one of which contains a Funky Fork that you need to collect. Collect two more Funky Forks from a tray and a fire extinguisher before heading to the microwave. Once there, enter the code 335 into the timer and use the fire extinguisher to put out the fire caused by the stuck fork. Retrieve the third Funky Fork.

Use the three forks to unlock the locked serving plate by selecting the correct fork for each lock. Once the plate is opened, you can drink the milkshake inside, but be aware that it will poison you. To cure yourself, go to the freezer behind Jeb and enter the code "Square, Ring, Broken Ring, Square." Collect the Ice Cube with Key from the bottom left shelf and place it in the boiling pan on top of the oven to receive a Small Key in return.

Use the key on the door to exit the kitchen and enter the dining area. On the left side of the stairs, grab the sixth issue of The Escapist Times from the table. Then, remove the "Today's Specials" poster from the far wall behind the staff table. Behind the poster, you'll find a pyramid with buttons. Press the buttons in the order of "Top, Right, Top, Bottom" to open a crawl space.

Descend into the crawl space, grab the key on the left, and activate the lever to go back up. Use the key to unlock the cabinet to the left of the staff table and interact with the labeled ingredients on the bottom right. Add Belladonna Syrup, Calabar Extract, and Mineral Water to the glass in front of them, then use the shaker. Drink the cure to complete the level.

After waking up in your dorm, return to the Cafeteria and speak with Jeb before heading to The Computer Lab. If you want to earn the co-op achievement, make sure your second controller is still connected.

Lab Rat

To begin the level, go left and descend the stairs. On the left, you'll find a sofa with a pipe on it. Collect the pipe to obtain a Power Tube. Turn right and interact with the small coffee table to pick up Spare Change. Move to the far corner on your right, next to the TV, and read the next issue of The Escapist Times (#7/10). Turn around and locate a vending machine.

Interact with it and insert the coins. Enter the code "C4" to drop a doughnut for you to collect. Proceed to the far wall on your right, to the right of where you collected the Power Tube. A rat will run away from this area. On the floor, you'll find a dirty plate next to a mug. Interact with the plate and place the doughnut on it. The rat will come out to eat it, allowing you to pick it up and obtain Turmeric the Rat. Leave this area and head left at the top of the stairs. Grab the next Power Tube from the mount.

The Tea Kettle

To start the level, move forward and grab the Escapist Times (#8/10) from the pink bench on the left. Then, turn around and head down the ramp towards the pink door with stained glass windows. Open the door and enter the room. Inside the room, you'll find a teapot on the table. Pick it up and pour the hot water into the cup on the right side of the table. This will reveal a key inside the cup.

Take the key and use it to unlock the locked drawer on the left side of the table. Inside the drawer, you'll find a vial of Sleeping Potion. Leave the room and go straight ahead to the double doors. Use the Sleeping Potion on the guards to put them to sleep. Proceed through the doors and you'll find yourself in a hallway with four doors. The objective is to find the correct door to proceed.

Start by going through the door on the right side of the hallway (Door B). Inside, you'll find a bookshelf with several books. Pull out the book titled "The Art of Tea" to reveal a hidden lever. Pull the lever to open a secret passage behind the bookshelf. Go back to the hallway and enter the second door from the left (Door D). In this room, you'll see a locked cabinet. Look on top of the cabinet to find a small teapot.

Take the teapot and pour the hot water into the cup on the table. This will reveal another key. Use the key to unlock the cabinet and collect the Golden Key inside. Exit the room and go to the door on the left side of the hallway (Door A). Inside, you'll find a golden teapot on a pedestal. Take the teapot and pour the hot water into the cup on the table. This will reveal a puzzle.

Solve the puzzle by aligning the symbols to match the pattern shown on the wall. Once solved, a secret compartment will open, revealing a Silver Key. Leave the room and go to the door second from the right (Door C). In this room, you'll find a table with a tea set and a locked drawer. Use the Golden Key and Silver Key to unlock the drawer. Inside, you'll find the final Escapist Times (#9/10). Take the newspaper and exit the room.

Go back to the hallway and head to the double doors at the end. Use the keys to unlock the doors and enter the next area. In this room, you'll encounter the Tea Kettle boss. Avoid its attacks while collecting teabags that appear in the room. Collect all the teabags and throw them into the Tea Kettle to defeat it. After defeating the boss, exit the room through the open door and make your way to the final door at the end of the hallway.

Open the door and enter the tea garden. Follow the path until you reach a tea table with a teapot and cups. Pour the hot water into the cups, and a secret door will open. Enter the secret door and follow the path until you reach the final room. In this room, you'll find a giant tea cup. Interact with it to complete the escape room.

Upon completing the escape room, you'll receive an A+ rating and a time completion based on your performance. You'll also unlock the Tea Connoisseur achievement and receive the Tea Party Badge.

Escape Room: What Lies Below

  • Approach the locker labeled as "Student 00" and unlock it by turning the dial right to 10, left to 25, and right to 15. Retrieve the Testing Sheet and the Headmaster's Pin from inside.
  • Move to the other side of the room and interact with the printer. Insert the Testing Sheet and press the letters A, C, and E when prompted. Collect the Testing Sheet from the printer and proceed through the door.
  • Pass by the stairs in the second room and grab the 12V Battery (Dead) from the first shelf on your right. Return to the printer and insert the Testing Sheet once again. This time, enter the letters B, C, and D. Retrieve the Testing Sheet and continue through the next door.
  • On the left side of the room, interact with the Tesla coil to charge the battery. Insert the Testing Sheet into the machine and input the letters A, D, and E. Move on to the next room.
  • Rearrange some of the yellow and black labeled items in the third room to create a set of stairs leading to another level. Add the Testing Sheet to the machine and input the letters B and D. Proceed through the door.
  • Take the Chemical Tank labeled as D and ascend the stairs. Interact with the vent and use the Headmaster's Pin to open it. Crawl through the vent and press the big red button at the end.
  • Lower the raised ladder and interact with the terminal labeled as "Warning: Max Load 5V." Insert the battery into the terminal to overcharge it.
  • Place Chemical Tank D into the terminal marked as "No Water." Use the letters S and D to spell out the word SELFDESTRUCT on the final terminal.
  • Interact with the screens and enter the words UNDO, REFRESH, WIPE, and STOP. Finally, interact with the screen displaying Quanty's face and input the words SHUT DOWN to successfully complete the game and unlock your final achievement.
