New Ground Zero Map Overview:

Escape From Tarkov recently introduced a fresh map called Ground Zero with the 0.14 patch. It's designed to help players who are still getting the hang of the game, especially those under level 20. Even experienced players are exploring this new map, trying to understand its layout and find the best escape routes.

Available Map Information:

Currently, the only map available for Ground Zero is the one shown in the initial trailer. While not extremely detailed, it does provide valuable information for new players. It highlights where the extraction points are located, which is crucial for survival. Additionally, keep an eye out for Salewa first aid kits scattered around, as you'll need them for upcoming quests.

Extraction Points:

There are five main extraction points, each serving a different purpose. Emercom Checkpoint is at the bottom left, Scav Checkpoint at the top left, Mira Prospect at the bottom, Nakatani Basement at the top right, and the Police Checkpoint (a vehicle extraction point) at the top middle. A cautionary note: when heading to Mira Prospect, make sure to carry a flare to avoid getting shot by snipers during extraction.

Therapist assigns this quest, directing you to the Emercom Station near the Emercom Checkpoint at the bottom left of the map. You don't need to extract; simply being in the area counts. Collect medicine items nearby and hand them over to complete the task.

Escape From Tarkov  Gameplay

Escape From Tarkov is a gritty, survival-focused game where you've got to fight to survive. You can play as a soldier (PMC) or a Scavenger, scavenging gear or practicing offline. Each raid drops you on a map where your goal is to get to the other side and escape.

But it's no cakewalk - you're up against other players and AI enemies. Finding cool weapons and gear is key, but if you die, you lose everything you brought in. Insuring your gear can help get it back if you're unlucky. The game's pretty hands-off, with minimal on-screen info. As a Scavenger, you get random gear and join an ongoing raid. After that, there's a cooldown before you can jump in again. Between raids, you can trade loot, buy new gear, and complete tasks from traders to unlock better stuff. Combat's realistic, with in-depth weapon customization, health management, and even keeping an eye on your character's energy and hydration levels.

Escape From Tarkov Plot

In Escape From Tarkov, the story unfolds in a city called Tarkov, torn by political scandals and corporate collapse. It's set between 2015 and 2026 in Russia. The city's a battleground for different groups, with locals known as Scavs controlling parts of it. Players take on the role of either USEC or BEAR, two rival PMCs, each with its own goals and gear preferences. The game's about survival—players explore different maps, searching for loot while facing off against both AI-controlled enemies and other players.

The main aim is to survive and escape the city. Scavenging gear, completing tasks, and navigating the dangerous landscape are all part of the challenge. There's a deep, immersive world to explore, with different factions and locations offering unique experiences. Battlestate Games plans to expand the gameplay by creating an open world that combines all the different areas. Overall, it's about survival, strategy, and navigating a dangerous, war-torn city.
