Spa-Francorchamps is renowned as one of the greatest circuits in racing. Situated amidst the picturesque Ardennes Forest, it is known for its unpredictable weather conditions.This circuit offers ample opportunities for overtaking, making it one of the easiest tracks on the calendar for passing maneuvers. The long full-throttle section from La Source to Les Combes and the extended DRS zone up Kemmel provide favorable conditions for overtaking.
Finding the right setup can be challenging at Spa. Higher wing angles are beneficial for tackling the high-speed corners in the middle sector, but you also need good straight-line speed to avoid being vulnerable in sectors one and three. Tire wear is generally not a major concern here, as long as you don't push too hard in the corners. In most races, a one-stop strategy can work effectively.
Aerodynamics:
Optimal aerodynamics for Spa-Francorchamps involve reducing downforce, so it's recommended to trim the wings as much as possible. A setup of 13-10 for front and rear wing angles is suggested. This allows for better performance in the first and third sectors, although decreasing these values slightly can improve the top speed at the expense of stability in the middle sector.
Transmission:
The transmission settings affect how the rear wheels rotate in relation to each other, both when on and off the throttle. A differential setting of 55% on-throttle and 53% off-throttle differential is the usual choice for F1 23. This provides good rotation during acceleration and deceleration. However, if the car feels too loose on the throttle, increasing the off-throttle differential to 54% may provide more stability.

If you struggle to stay within the track limits consistently, raising the ride height to around 36 or 37 can provide added protection against race-ending damage.
Brakes:
Braking in F1 23 has undergone changes, but the optimal brake settings remain similar. A brake pressure of 100% is still recommended, with a brake bias of 57% for a balanced setup between the front and rear at Spa-Francorchamps. Given the increased possibility of lock-ups, reducing the brake pressure or adjusting the braking point may be necessary if you are not using ABS.
Tyres:
The Pirelli tire compounds in F1 23 remain largely unchanged, but the pressure settings now offer a broader range. For Spa-Francorchamps, it is suggested to use 23.0 PSI for the front tires and 21.0 PSI for the rear tires. This setup helps maintain tire condition throughout the race.

F1 23 brings back the story mode "Braking Point" from F1 2021, featuring returning characters Devon Butler, Aiden Jackson, and Casper Akkerman, along with the introduction of a new character, Callie Mayer. The game includes live-action scenes similar to Grid Legends.
