Felicia Johnson was a 24 years old woman from San Diego. She went on a trip to Houston last April and she has been missing since then. She was last seen on April 15, 2022, in northwest Houston. Her father said in April 2022 at a news conference that she was travelling from California to Houston for a job audition when she went missing.

There is a new lead in the missing case of Felicia Johnson. A landscape contractor found human remains in the Sam Houston National Forest on February 7, 2023. The remains were sent for DNA and dental record analysis and it was found that it was the remains of Felicia Johnson. Montgomery County Sheriff's Office stated on February 27, 2023: “It is with a heavy heart that we report dental records have confirmed that the human remains are that of missing person Felicia Johnson of California. Our hearts go out to the Johnson family and friends and we hope this brings them some closure."

Felicia Johnson had been missing since April 2022. She is presumed to be a victim of a homicide and the suspect who was accused of killing her is Chukwuebuka Nwobodo. After 10 months, her remains were found in the Sam Houston National Forest, earlier this month. On Monday, the police department confirmed that the DNA and dental analysis matches hers. After hearing the news, her father, Kevin Johnson, said that he is grateful that she is finally found.

After Felicia went missing, her friend found her phone covered with blood in the Bear Creek park. Police started to investigate and stated that she is a victim of homicide. Chukwuebuka Nwobodo was charged of killing her. The suspect’s bank records showed that he withdrew money on April 16. As per the records, he bought a flashlight, saws, trash bags, shirt, gloves, and towels. He also searched online about cleaning DNA evidence, how to get away with murder, and missing persons investigations. Police found Felicia’s blood and DNA in the suspect’s apartment. The suspect is still on the run.
