Fief of the Chill Curse Walkthrough

1. Starting Point

To begin, you need to fast travel to the Vestige of Marco the Axe (Redcopse Windmill) in the Abandoned Redcopse area. This location is recognizable by the distinctive door with a bell on it. You can access this door using the Fief Key provided by Andreas of Webb. You can obtain the key by chatting with him or finding the item he left for you at Skyrest Bridge.

2. Inside the Cave

Upon entering, head up the slope and deal with Corrupted Pilgrims and Raw Maulers. Look for a Weapon – Splitting Axe and the Map of the Fief of the Chill Curse near the entrance of the cave.

3. Overcoming Obstacles

You'll encounter a blocked path inside the cave. Transition to Umbral to find a wall-corpse, and soulflay it to open the way forward.

4. Dealing with Enemies

After overcoming the initial obstacle, you'll enter a room filled with eggs (soon to be Remnant) and a Womb of the Damned. Defeat them and continue your journey.

5. Exploring Further

As you proceed, you'll encounter a Corrupted Penitent and a Raw Mauler on the path, along with a Corrupted Pilgrim on a raised path. There are Frostbite Cures hidden among the wooden paraphernalia.

6. Emergence Effigy and Hidden Threats

Further along the path, you'll come across an Emergence Effigy. Beware of a hidden Bringer of Stillness among the crates in Umbral mode.

7. Boss Fight

Exiting the cave, you'll find a small flooded area where a boss fight awaits. The primary boss is the Kinrangr Guardian, who wields a large two-handed axe. He can inflict frost damage and Frostbite, but he is manageable. However, the challenge comes from his accompanying Kinrangr Hounds, who can also cause Frostbite. The flooded arena limits your mobility, so consider transitioning to Umbral to gain more space, even though it introduces the Mendacious Visage.

8. Rewards for Victory

Upon defeating the Kinrangr Guardian, you'll receive rewards, including 8,150 Vigor, a Vestige Seed, Weapon – Kinrangr Guardian Axe, and Kinrangr Guardian Trousers. In Umbral mode, you can find a wallcorpse nearby and soulflay it to earn an Antediluvian Chisel.

9. Exploring the Courtyard

Make your way up a nearby slope to reach a courtyard with a Stigma. Here, you can watch for Umbral Scouring x2 and find a Vestige. Activate the Vestige of Svornil (Fief of the Chill Curse).

10. Locating the Ladder

To continue your journey, locate a locked gate and find a ladder on the right side of the room. Climb the ladder, grab loot along the way, and reach an upper ledge.

11. Snowy Path

After leaving the man-made area, you'll enter a snowy path. Deal with Kinrangr Hounds, and proceed to find a blocked wooden bridge. Clear the Kinrangr Hounds and search among the debris for a Tinct – Lawless.

12. Facing Enemies Beyond the Gate

As you approach a gate in the distance, you'll be attacked by Kinrangr Hounds and a Kinrangr Hunter. The Kinrangr Hunter is agile and can turn invisible, making the battle challenging.

13. Moving Forward

Climb the ladder to the left of the gate, drop down to the path behind the gate, and discover an Emergence Effigy and an Umbral Flowerbed if needed.

Lords of the Fallen Gameplay

Lords of the Fallen is an action-packed role-playing video game that immerses you in a third-person perspective. Just like its predecessor, it offers a choice between melee weapons and magic for taking on adversaries, drawing inspiration from the challenging combat found in Soulslike games.

You can even team up with a friend to tackle the game's campaign cooperatively and engage in player-versus-player multiplayer battles for some extra excitement. As you kick off your adventure, you'll have the chance to craft your own unique character, selecting from a variety of character classes.

The game world is expansive, considerably larger than the 2014 version, and it's particularly intriguing because it blends two realms: Axiom, the realm of the living, and Umbral, the realm of the dead, which you can traverse using a mystical lantern.

Despite sharing the same space, accessibility varies between these two worlds, adding a layer of depth and strategy. When your character meets their demise, they'll find themselves in Umbral, needing to return to Axiom to recover their lost experience points.

But if you perish in Umbral, you'll restart at your last savepoint and lose any unspent experience points. Savepoints are relatively rare in each region, but you have the option to craft your own using materials gathered from Umbral creatures, making your choices and tactics pivotal in this captivating interconnected game world.
