Visit Sword Coast Couriers
Start by heading to the north part of Rivington, across from the Open Hand Temple, where you'll find the Sword Coast Couriers. During Act 1, if you've previously encountered Scratch and Gomwick in the northern Forest, you can mention Gomwick's fate to the person in charge here, Danzo Arkwright.
Speak with Danzo Arkwright
Approach Danzo behind the counter at the Sword Coast Couriers. Engage in conversation with him and choose the first dialogue option to inform him about finding a courier's body along with a letter. This will lead to a discussion about the missing pigeons.
Start the Quest
Danzo will explain that, with Gomwick gone, he's resorted to using pigeons for deliveries. Pigeons, however, have also been disappearing. This triggers the "Find the Missing Letters" quest.
Locate the Missing Letters
The missing letters can be found nearby, on a nest atop the Open Hand Temple. You can reach the nest by climbing vines on the side of the temple or by using a ladder to access the top of the bell tower and then jumping down to the roof.
Confront the Tressym
At the nest, you'll encounter a Tressym guarding the letters. Engage in a conversation with the Tressym and choose the third dialogue option to imply its connection to the missing pigeons.
Discuss the Importance of the Letters
Choose the first dialogue option to express the importance of the letters and persuade the Tressym to leave the pigeons alone.
Persuade the Tressym
Pick the second dialogue option to persuade the Tressym to stop hunting the pigeons. If your character is persuasive enough, the Tressym will agree.
Deceive the Tressym
Alternatively, you can select the third dialogue option and, if you pass a DC 15 Deception Check, convince the Tressym to abandon the pigeons and loot the Bundle of Letters from its nest.
Return to Danzo
Head back to the Sword Coast Couriers and hand the letters over to Danzo. As a reward, he'll give you 320 Gold.
