FLCL, also known as Fooly Cooly, is a Japanese anime TV show created by GAINAX and animated by Production I.G. It aired from April 2, 2000, to September 24, 2000, on TV Tokyo. Kazuya Tsurumaki directed it.

The show's about Naota Nandaba, a 12-year-old living in the fictional town of Mawaru. His life gets turned upside down when Haruko Haruhara, a lady on a Vespa scooter with a bass guitar, crashes into him and gives him a horn on his forehead by bonking him with her guitar.

Naota finds out that Haruko is running from Medical Mechanica, a powerful group trying to take his horn. At the same time, he's dealing with growing up and adolescence.

FLCL is known for its unique animation style, cool soundtrack, and quirky humor. It explores themes like growing up, identity, and the power of music.
