What Are Augments In Fortnite?

At random intervals across the landscape, augmentations provide your character the option to equip a bonus or perk. You'll have to choose between two options that are offered to you. You get one free to reroll to try for another two bonuses if you're unsatisfied. These will last the entire time you play Fortnite and may provide you an advantage. Utilizing Augments is quite easy. You'll notice an icon on the right side of the screen at specific periods during the game, usually following a significant event like the approaching storm. This is followed by a button prompt, which can be found, for controller users, directly on the d-pad. When you click this, the Augments screen will appear.

Fortnite Adds 5 New Augments To Chapter 4

Five new Augments are coming to Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 with today's v23.20 update in response to a leak from HYPEX. Players will be able to acquire these new additions at random between matches, joining the already existing 21 in-game Augments. When the Augmentation screen appears, players can also borrow certain Augments they don't possess from their friends. Here are the game's five new augmentations and how to use them.

  • Danger Hero: When your shield is broken, you momentarily regain health and speed up your mobility.
  • Peele's Plunder: Get a treasure map that will point you in the direction of hidden wealth.
  • Shotgun Striker: Shotguns deliver Siphon on player hits
  • Rarity Check: Siphon is gained on kills with common or uncommon weapons.
  • Zero Chance: When you destroy an enemy's shield, you receive zero point dash.

All Fortnite Augments And How They Work

You can stack up to four augmentations if you live long enough. The Augment possibilities are constantly randomized, but because you always have a choice between two, you can tailor your Augments to create the ideal buff combo. You can use four different sorts of augmentations in Fortnite Battle Royale matches.

  • Combat
  • Game Changer
  • Mobility & Scouting
  • Looting

The longer you survive in a match, the more Augment alternatives will be generated automatically. Every two and a half minutes during the course of the game, a fresh Augment will be available. On the right side of the screen, a countdown will appear when an Augment is nearly available for selection. Press the corresponding button that appears on the right side of the screen when the Augment is ready.
