Fortnite, developed by Epic Games and launched in 2017, is an online video game that offers three distinct game modes. While each mode shares the same core gameplay and game engine, they provide unique experiences to players. Fortnite Battle Royale is a free-to-play game mode where up to 100 players compete in a fight to be the last one standing. It has gained immense popularity and has become a cultural phenomenon, attracting over 125 million players within a year of its release.
Fortnite: Save the World is a cooperative hybrid game mode that combines tower defense, shooter, and survival elements. In this mode, teams of up to four players defend objects and fight off zombie-like creatures using traps, fortifications, and their shooting skills. Fortnite Creative allows players to unleash their creativity by providing them with complete freedom to build and design their own worlds and battle arenas.
Initially released as early access titles in 2017, Save the World and Battle Royale gained considerable success. However, Battle Royale surpassed all expectations and became a massive hit, generating hundreds of millions of dollars per month. By December 2019, Fortnite as a whole had generated a staggering $9 billion in gross revenue.
Save the World is available for Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Battle Royale and Creative were initially released for these platforms but have since expanded to include Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android devices. Furthermore, with the launch of the ninth-generation PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles, Fortnite was made available for these platforms as well.

In the past, Fortnite leaks mainly came from data miners who uncovered details from new updates. However, recently popular data miners like Hypex and ShiinaBR have been receiving leaks from an insider at Epic Games, revealing season themes, upcoming items, and changes. The theme for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 was leaked over a month ago, and the Battle Pass skin of Optimus Prime was also leaked, along with other changes coming in the v25.00 update.
To address the leaks, Epic Games released a list of skins that will be available in the Season 3 Battle Pass, including Era, Trace, Rian, Lorenzo, Mariposa, Relik, Optimus Prime, and Purradise Meowscles. Optimus Prime will be the tier 100 outfit, and Purradise Meowscles will be an additional outfit unlocked later in the season. Leaks suggest that the new Meowscles outfit will have two different styles and may be unlocked during the summer event.
Hypex shared numerous leaks for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 (v25.00), including the ability to ride Raptors that will become exhausted over time. This was confirmed in the cinematic trailer for the new season. Another leaked feature, the ability to grind wood vines similar to those in Mega City, was also confirmed in the trailer. All the features seen in the trailer will be introduced in the v25.00 (3.92) update today.
The update will bring a Lever Pistol, Mythic Drum Shotgun, helicopters with attached launchers dealing 35 damage, and an Epic/Legendary Thermal Bolt Action Rifle. These features were already leaked over two weeks ago. The cinematic trailer also revealed a Kinetic Boomerang. Data miners uncovered additional items such as the Wildwasp Jar, Cybertron Cannon, FlapJack Rifle, and Thermal DMR. New consumable items include Bomb flowers, Stink flowers, and Slurp plants.
The chapter 4 season 3 update will introduce a ropes and chains launcher, although its exact functionality is still unknown. Apart from what was shown in the trailer, the update will bring back the 14 Days of Summer event and introduce a racing mode with speed objects, cosmetics, a car garage, sky/ground race tracks, and more. During the downtime, comprehensive coverage of the new season, including any leaks, will be provided.
