Genshin Impact In The Mountains Walkthrough
"In the Mountains" is a quest in Genshin Impact set in the snowy Dragonspine mountain. Here's a simple walkthrough to help you navigate through the quest:
Investigate the Strange Ice (Shard Location 1):
Talk to Iris at the base camp on Dragonspine.
Collect Scarlet Quartz from red mining veins and hit the strange ice four times to unlock the Frostbearing Tree.
Continue Upwards to Investigate:
Follow the main path until you reach a small set of stairs on the left, leading to the Entombed City - Ancient Palace area.
Navigate through the windy ice cavern close to the Statue of Seven.
Thawing the Shards (Shard Locations 2 and 3):
Locate the second shard in Starglow Cavern. Activate the totem, defeat enemies, and collect Scarlet Quartz to lower the shard's health.
Find the third shard south of the Teleport Waypoint between Entombed City - Outskirts and Wyrmrest Valley. Solve the totem puzzle using a Cryo character.
Head for Dragonspine's Summit:
Return to the windy cave near the Statue of Seven. Follow the path up, avoiding falling icicles. Activate Anemo butterflies to reach the summit.
Thawing All Shards Again:
Locate and hit the three shards on Dragonspine's summit using Scarlet Quartz orbs. The locations are marked on the map.
Be cautious of enemies and use fire sources to stay warm.
Completing the Quest:
Investigate the area below to unlock the Peak of Vindagnyr Domain.
Report back to Iris at the base camp to complete the quest and unlock the Cryo Hypostasis.
