  • Fixed an issue where Darkdale Waist Guard or Risen Snow Armor could not be upgraded past Level 9 in NG+.

  • Fixed an issue where certain quest resources were not granted upon completion in NG+ (Lindwyrm Scales, Sovereign Coals, Essence of Hel). These resources will be granted retroactively to players who should have received them.

Trophies

  • Fixed an issue where the "Ready for Commitment" trophy would not unlock when upgrading NG+ armor to Level 9 or above.

  • Fixed an issue where the "Phalanx" trophy could not be earned if the player crafted a Level 9+ shield prior to crafting every other type of shield.

If you receive the armor from the Lost Items Chest in the shop, you will need to restart or reload your game to get the trophy.

God of War Ragnarok Characters

The primary characters in the game are Kratos, the former Greek God of War, and his teenage son, Atreus (also known as Loki), who is half Giant, one-quarter god, and one-quarter mortal. They have been training at their home in Midgard for the upcoming battle, along with their loyal companion Mímir, the smartest man alive. Freya, a Vanir goddess, seeks revenge against Kratos and Atreus for the death of her son Baldur, while the Huldra Brothers, Brok and Sindri, help the father-son duo by forging new gear and discovering a way to travel to other realms.

The game's primary antagonist is Odin, the king of Asgard and Allfather of the Nine Realms, who is obsessed with preventing his death at Ragnarök. Thor, the Aesir God of Thunder, serves as a secondary antagonist, wielding the hammer Mjölnir and doing his father's bidding. Heimdall, another son of Odin, possesses the magical horn Gjallarhorn and believes himself to be untouchable. Grýla, Angrboda's estranged grandmother, is a minor antagonist who steals animal souls.

Other characters include Freyr, Freya's twin brother who leads a resistance against Odin and the Aesir, Týr, the Norse God of War, and Sif, Thor's wife. Thrúd, the daughter of Thor and Sif, dreams of becoming a Valkyrie, and the three Norns represent the Fates of Norse mythology. Surtr is a fire Giant who lives in Muspelheim, and Laufey (Faye for short), Kratos' second wife and Atreus' mother, appears in flashbacks.

God of War Ragnarok Gameplay

God of War Ragnarök is a third-person action-adventure video game that features Kratos, the main character, in combo-based combat with Norse mythological foes. Kratos uses his magical battle axe called the Leviathan Axe and his double-chained blades called the Blades of Chaos to fight enemies, as well as his shield, which can be used for offense and defense. Atreus, Kratos' son, provides assistance through artificial intelligence in combat, traversal, exploration, and puzzle-solving. The game also features new weapons and mechanics, such as the Draupnir Spear and different shields with various abilities. Players can upgrade weapons with runes to allow for magical runic attacks, and the triangle button now allows the player to use "Weapon Signature Moves" to unleash a powerful magical attack depending on the weapon equipped.
