Hyrule, the expansive open world, returns, offering players even more possibilities for exploration. This time, the realm has been expanded to include vertical landscapes, inviting Link, the heroic protagonist, to venture into new heights. With Princess Zelda by his side, Link embarks on a quest to thwart Ganondorf's destructive plans, aiming to safeguard the kingdom of Hyrule from impending doom.

The concept for the game originated from ideas that surpassed the scope of downloadable content for Breath of the Wild. Nintendo's Entertainment Planning & Development (EPD) division took the lead in developing this highly anticipated sequel, with Hidemaro Fujibayashi, the director of Breath of the Wild, and Eiji Aonuma, the producer, reprising their roles. The game was initially teased at E3 2019, building anticipation, and later fully revealed at E3 2021.

While originally planned for a 2022 release, Tears of the Kingdom faced a slight delay, ultimately hitting the market in May 2023. The game garnered widespread acclaim for its enhancements, expanded open world, and its ability to inspire exploration and experimentation. Within its first three days of release, Tears of the Kingdom achieved remarkable success, selling over 10 million copies—a testament to its enduring popularity and captivating gameplay.

Hateno Village Research Lab Quest

The Hateno Village Research Lab is a fascinating Side Adventure quest featured in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This quest becomes accessible once you have successfully completed specific main quests related to the depths. To embark on this adventure, you must first locate Hateno Village within the game world of TotK. Once you arrive at Hateno Village, you will encounter Robbie, an intriguing character who plays a crucial role in the game.

Robbie's primary task is to enhance the Purah Pad, an important device, and enable the installation of the Shrine Sensor. This upgrade will greatly assist you in your exploration of the game world and in your quest to uncover the secrets and mysteries that lie ahead.

How to Unlock Robbie's Hateno Village?

Upon initiating the main story, when you converse with Robbie, the chief architect of the Purah Pad, he will inform you about various new upgrades he can install for you. However, he requests that you first assist Josha before he can attend to your needs. Robbie will remain occupied until he completes his assistance for Josha.

To free up Robbie's time, you must undertake Josha's Quest titled "Camera Work in the Depths." This particular quest requires you to have the Paraglider. Your objective is to capture a photograph of a peculiar statue located in the Depths.

Once you have accomplished this task, you will temporarily be unable to progress further in this quest. In order to continue, you must complete one of the main Regional Phenomena Quests that involve aiding the Rito, Goron, Zora, or Gerudo settlements. After successfully completing at least one of these quests, return to Josha and express your willingness to undertake "A Mystery in the Depths." This quest will conclude with you fixing Robbie's hot air balloon.

Upon completing the quest, speak to Robbie to access a new series of quests that take place in Hateno Village.
