Mercenaries Gets A Mythic Update

Another six mercenaries Enter the Village

  • In Patch 25.4, six new Mercenaries will be released. These are some of our most intriguing collectible Mercs yet, and this is the last time we'll be adding new ones to the mode.
  • The 25.4 Patch Notes, which will be available soon, will contain all the information regarding the new Mercs. We'll have over 120 Mercenaries in all for players to capture, add to their Parties, level up, and max out once these Mercs enter the fray. What a busy village that is!

Factions, dual types, reworked types, and more

  • Beginning with version 25.4, mercenaries will be able to have two separate Types, which will better reflect their identities. There will be more, including Human-Undead and Celestial Beasts. Many Mercs will gain a second Type as a result of this upgrade, resulting in a huge number of new synergies throughout your collection.
  • Numerous Mercenaries will also acquire Factions, such as Horde and Alliance, as shown by the flag in the card's top right corner. These will enable you to more accurately predict the potential effects of a specific Treasure or Ability on your Party. To better fit the new Mythic Boss Rush system and/or refer to Factions, some abilities, equipment, and treasures have been altered or rewritten. In addition, we're introducing five more Factions, bringing the total to seven.
  • The Horde and Alliance are already well-known to you, but now they will be able to clearly display their allegiances with flags. The League of Explorers is represented by Explorers, who are now genuinely in a League of their own. Different adversaries of Azeroth are represented by the Empire, Legion, and Scourge Factions. The Lich King and his lumbering Undead minions make up the Scourge, the Legion is made up of the Demons and demigods who make up the Burning Legion, and the Empire is made up of the Old Gods and their devotees. Finally, Pirate has been changed from a Type to a Faction and now stands for those raptors and raiders who fly just their own flag.

Coming Soon: Mythic Boss Rush Endgame Content

  • The innovative and difficult Mythic Boss Rush end-game mechanic is Mercenaries' last significant system change. Mythic Boss Rush is fundamentally a series of bosses that you can face in order to gain more renown and challenge your mercenaries.
  • Mythic Boss Rush is weekly content; from the start of the week until a reset at the conclusion of the week, a new Boss Rush unlocks daily. Each Boss Rush consists of three consecutive Bounty Boss bouts, culminating in a final Boss that is actually two Bounty Bosses fighting each other!
  • There is no Point of Interest nodes or mob fights in Mythic Boss Rush; instead, there is only the most captivating PVE content. Bosses will also have arbitrary anomalies that increase their strength; the strength of these anomalies will scale according to the difficulty setting you select. According to the difficulty you were set at for that run, you receive renown as a prize for each clear, with the majority of your rewards coming after your first clear.
  • How are you going to deal with this plethora of powerful, evil bosses? You can invest your Renown in Mythic Boss Rush to give your Mercenaries abilities, gear, treasures, and stat upgrades that go beyond Maxed!
  • Mythic Boss Rush will be available to you after a free Travel Point upgrade. Once you've unlocked Heroic Bounties and have at least one Maxed Merc, the upgrade becomes available. For players who adore the PVE component of the mode and are eager to push their Parties to the limit, Mythic Boss Rush offers a tonne of replayability to Mercenaries.

Continued Assistance and New Horizons

  • We'll be concentrating on improving the Hearthstone and Battlegrounds game types after these releases. However, there will be no more regular content updates for Mercenaries. Instead, they will continue to get support for bug repairs and sporadic balancing adjustments as needed. We anticipate that the additional features in this patch will make the Mercenaries mode an enjoyable and rewarding experience for players.
  • We would want to express our gratitude to everyone who has ever sought a Bounty or gathered around a campfire for helping to make this period in Hearthstone's history memorable. We also hope you'll appreciate all that Mercenaries has to offer with patch 25.4. Let's meet in the Tavern!
