Hearthstone

Blizzard Entertainment developed and published Hearthstone, a digital collectible card game that is available to play for free online. Originally named Heroes of Warcraft, Hearthstone draws on the established lore of the Warcraft series, incorporating the same elements, characters, and relics. The game was first launched for Microsoft Windows and macOS in March 2014, followed by iOS and Android ports later that year. One of the game's distinctive features is its ability to facilitate cross-platform play, allowing players on any supported device to engage in competition with each other, subject to geographical region account limits. Players engage in a turn-based card game, with each player using a selected hero with a unique power and a deck of 30 constructed cards.

Hearthstone Gameplay

Hearthstone is a collectible card game set in the Warcraft universe, developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. Players compete in a turn-based card game with the goal of reducing their opponent's health to zero. There are eleven classes to choose from, each with unique hero powers and cards that define their archetype. Cards come in five different types: minions, spells, weapons, hero cards, and locations. Quests are a specific type of spell found in three expansions. Cards are ordered by rarity, with Legendary cards being the rarest. Blizzard releases expansions of additional cards every four months and smaller mini-sets between expansions to increase the variety in the game. Hearthstone uses a freemium revenue model, allowing players to play for free or pay to acquire additional content. Unlike other card games, Hearthstone is designed to speed up play by eliminating manual reactions from the opposing player during a turn and setting a timer for each player's turn. Mana is used as a budget for each turn, increasing by one each turn to a maximum of ten, and cards have various mana costs. Minions and spells are unique, with minions placed directly onto the board after being played and spells having distinctive effects. Cards can be obtained through opening card packs or by crafting them with arcane dust.
