The second and more significant lie is that the lunar timeshares are a sham, unbeknownst to his sales team who believe they are selling legitimate properties. Jack keeps delaying their rocket launch to the moon, claiming he is waiting for a miracle to save his failing company, which risks ruining the lives of his salespeople and his relationship with his son.
