  • His mother, Marianne Dalgliesh, is Jersey-born and has Scottish, English, and Irish heritage. 
  • She worked as a secretary in a bank. His father, Colin Cavill, is originally from Chester, England, and worked as a stockbroker.
  • Cavill received his early education at St Michael's Preparatory School in Saint Saviour, Jersey, before continuing his schooling at Stowe School in Stowe, Buckinghamshire.
  • During his time at Stowe School, Cavill actively participated in both sports and drama.
