Hime's Quest Guide

Begin by heading west two screens to reach Hime's house. Enter the house and proceed west to the kitchen. Engage in the petting minigame with Yuzu the cat, which will reward you with an Anime DVD. Exit the house and return east to reach the library. Head upstairs to the anime club and interact with Bimmy to present the club with their new TV and DVD.

In return, you will receive an Anime Club Membership Card, signifying your membership in the club. With your preparations complete, return to the train station and board a train bound for Beachtown. Upon arriving, take the southern exit near the general store and continue west for two screens, followed by one screen to the north, and another screen to the west.

You will then come across the stairs leading to the Dream Casino, marked by Alma and Salty. Ascend the stairs and open the door to confront the three area bosses once again. Show your Anime Club Membership Card to the enigmatic being overseeing the trains, who seems to exist beyond dimensions. This will grant you access to the boss fight against the Y2K Bug, the creature responsible for damaging your DVD player and causing the convergence of multiple worlds.

Not to worry, though, as Alma has graciously equipped you with a projectile sword for this battle. After defeating the Y2K Bug, you will have successfully completed the game and can enjoy watching anime with your friends, culminating in a grand display of fireworks as the credits roll.

Hime's Quest Walkthrough

Introduction:

After a monster destroys the anime club's DVD player and television, Hime sets out on a quest to confront the monster, uncover the reason behind the chaotic world, and acquire a new DVD player for the club.

Initial traversal is challenging due to various obstacles and hazards, such as tall grass, pitfalls, and heavy boulders.

Getting Started:

• Go east from the Library until you reach the train station, unlocking it as a fast travel point for future convenience.
• Ignore the glitches, as they can't harm you, but be cautious of the Slime on the final screen going east.
• Continue along the path, heading north for two screens and then turning east.

Desert Dungeon:

• Reach the desert area and proceed one screen east, then south, and finally west to find the stairs leading to the oasis.
• Move the eye statue to drain the water, granting access to the desert dungeon.
• Inside the dungeon, defeat enemies and obtain keys to progress.
• Rotate statues and solve puzzles to unlock the boss door.
• Confront and defeat the Kleptopatra boss to obtain the Legendary Game Disk.

Beachtown:

• Travel back to the train station and board a train to Beachtown.
• Visit the large house in the northeastern Beachtown map tile.
• Trade the Legendary Game Disk with the old man for Winged Boots, allowing you to jump over pits.

Swamp Dungeon:

• Head to the swamp area, going west for two screens, north for one, and west for three.
• Navigate through the swamp, encountering new enemies like the Mushroom.
• Solve pipe puzzles and find safety switches to unlock the boss door.
• Defeat the Nofungus boss to acquire the Bishum Mushroom.

Obtaining Bicep Card and Skeleton Key:

• Return to the witch's hut near the desert and trade the Bishum Mushroom with Salty the Witch for a Bicep Card.
• Retrace your steps to New Crunchy City, go west, then north for two screens to reach Junji Ito's house.
• Give Junji Ito's cat to him in exchange for a Skeleton Key.

Junji Ito's House:

• Return to the New Crunchy City train station and head back to the animal village.
• Travel east until you hit a wall and then proceed eastward through the winding path.
• Reach Junji Ito's house, go north for two screens, and return his cat to him for the Skeleton Key.

Hills Dungeon:

• Retrace your steps to the New Crunchy City train station and go back to the animal village.
• Head east until you reach the highest peak and continue east until you enter the hills area.
• Encounter new enemies like the Yokai and make your way to Alma and a locked door.
• Use the Skeleton Key to unlock the hills dungeon.

Defeating Underlord:

• Navigate through the hills dungeon, collecting keys and following hints to unlock the boss door.
• Fight and defeat Underlord to obtain the Dream Casino key.

Dream Casino:

• Return to the desert and find the stairs leading to the Dream Casino.
• Show your Anime Club Membership Card to the transdimensional being running the trains to access the boss fight.
• Confront the Y2K Bug, defeat it using your new projectile sword, and restore order to the anime club.
• Enjoy watching anime with your friends as the credits roll, accompanied by fireworks.

Hime's Quest Gameplay
