How Long is Ghostrunner 2?

Ghostrunner 2 offers an exciting adventure that will keep players engaged for around 10 to 12 hours, though this can vary a bit. This game is notably longer than its predecessor, which could be finished in about seven hours. The gameplay mainly follows a linear path, with missions separated by the Interface Council HQ, a central hub where players can interact with council members and enhance their skills.

While most missions follow a set path, some offer players a bit more freedom. There are alternate routes and hidden paths to explore, adding an extra layer of excitement. Additionally, the game presents an array of collectibles and cosmetic items to discover. For those on the hunt for all of them, expect a slightly longer playthrough.

A new feature in Ghostrunner 2 is the RogueRunner mode, which introduces a roguelike element to the main game. Here, players can tackle increasingly challenging stages. While not essential to the main storyline, it does provide an excellent opportunity for replayability. Engaging with RogueRunner can extend your total playtime by several hours.

Completing the story alone will take approximately 10 to 12 hours, while a comprehensive playthrough aiming for all collectibles and extras might extend to 14 to 16 hours of gameplay.

Ghostrunner 2 Gameplay

In the game, you see through the eyes of the character Jack. He's really good at moving around in risky places - he can dash, jump, run on walls, and slide. Jack also has a grappling hook to swing around, and he can do something called a "Sensory Boost" to slow down time for a bit, making it easier to move around quickly. There's a meter that shows how often Jack can dash and defend against attacks - it's called stamina. Jack fights with a sword, but he also has special powers. One of them is "Shuriken," which lets him throw electric stars. These stars can stun enemies or hit faraway switches. Both Jack and the enemies can be taken down in just one hit.

In the game, Jack's mission is to go outside the Dharma Tower and face a group of dangerous AI ninja cult members. Ghostrunner 2 adds something new - you get to fight on a motorcycle in some parts. While riding, you'll need to fight enemies and dodge obstacles. The game levels are more open, so you can plan out how you want to go before facing enemies. As you play, you can get upgrades that make Jack even better. Unfortunately, the motorcycle can't be upgraded.
