Fans have been longing for cross-play and cross-save functionality. Digital Extremes announced Warframe cross-play and cross-save. Warframe has made its way to multiple platforms such as Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch as well. How To Cross Platform Friends On Warframe?
Cross Platform Play is a feature meant to unite the Origin System once and for all! They are bringing together Tenno from across the globe and across Platforms to play together. After much testing across various platforms, Digital Extremes has finally rolled out the features. Warframe has had cross-play functionality since December 2, 2022. You can cross-play across PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch. Follow the steps to cross-platform with your friends.
To link platforms
Directly ahead to the login page of Digital Extremes’ website, where you have to link your accounts. After this, you can link accounts (and Twitch Prime) to access your friend list across platforms.
To enable cross-play
Just head into the Options menu at the bottom of the page. Toggle cross-play in Warframe on. If you don’t want this, then toggle cross-play into Off.
To join friends
Using Squad matchmaking, You can party up with friends. If you were on the same platform, then you’ll be able to join your teammates or invite them. You can meet in Relays or visit Dojos. But there’s an issue with heading into Dojos in a cross-platform squad. Once you’re already in the Dojo, you can avoid this. Some friends have the same name across different platforms. To identify your players, you have to assign a numeric suffix. This suffix is only necessary when you are looking to invite someone into your squad who have the same name.
To Enable Cross-platform Play
You can toggle the “Cross Platform Play” setting on or off in the Options menu. Turning it on would allow you to join each other’s squad and use Public Matchmaking to complete Missions together.
Is Warframe Cross Platform?
Digital Extremes' development on Cross-Platform Play has continued; they're opening it up to let more players experience Warframe Missions together. Cross Platform Save is not available right now. But they will keep the Community updated on when they can take part in Cross Platform Save. It is also expected that the players on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S may soon encounter cross-platform support. However, the only platforms that allow players to crossplay are Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch.
