Fighting the Congregator of Flesh in Lords of the Fallen

After the first encounter, return to the boss door to summon an NPC like Pieta, who offers solid damage output and draws aggro. This helps balance the fight.

First Phase: Learning the Boss’s Attack Patterns

As the battle begins, use Minor Fire Salt to enhance your weapon. Dodge the boss's arm swings by rolling into or away from them. Circle around for your own attacks. Beware of its jumping move; roll away when it takes off. Avoid prolonged close-range combat to dodge its circular swipe attack.

Second Phase: Avoiding Poison

In this phase, the boss introduces poison pools and waves. Mitigate poison effects with Poison Balms and Cures. Stay close to the boss's back while dodging attacks for faster progress in this phase.

The Congregator of Flesh Lords of the Fallen Guide

The Congregator Of Flesh Boss Attack Patterns

The Congregator of Flesh is a formidable opponent in Lords of the Fallen. It uses several attacks you should be aware of:

  • Single Hit Hand Slam: This is a slow but powerful attack. Dodge right as the hand is about to hit the ground to avoid damage.

  • Arm Swipe: The boss swings its left arm horizontally. Time your dodge carefully to avoid getting hit.

  • Back Throw Attack: If you linger behind the boss for too long, it might perform this attack. It leans forward before throwing itself back.

  • Side Throw Attack: This occurs if you focus on one leg for too long. The boss leans in the direction it's about to throw itself.

  • Three Hit Ground Slam: When the boss's health drops to 50%, it introduces a ground slam that releases poison. Bring poison resistance items to counter this.

  • Shockwave and Poison Wave: Keeping too much distance triggers this attack. You can either run out of its range or roll to avoid damage.

  • Charged Mouth Dash Attack: This can follow a hand smash or be performed independently. It's important to avoid getting grabbed, as it can deal heavy damage.

The Congregator Of Flesh Boss Fight Strategy

To defeat the Congregator of Flesh, follow these strategies:

  • Eliminate Umbral Entity: Take out the Umbral entity behind the boss's right leg at the start of the fight. This prevents the boss from dealing amplified damage.

  • Attack from Behind: Most of the boss's attacks are aimed forward, so prioritize hitting its back. Be cautious of the ground slam attack.

  • Exploit Weaknesses: The boss is weak against bleed, holy, and fire damage. Use weapons or buffs with these elements for an advantage.

  • Watch for Poison Attacks: Be mindful of attacks that release poison. They can quickly deplete your health if not countered.

  • Focus on Legs: Target the boss's legs for quick strikes, then dodge and attack from behind.

Repeat these strategies to defeat the Congregator of Flesh in less than ten minutes.

The Congregator Of Flesh Rewards

After defeating the Congregator of Flesh, you'll receive:

  • One Vestige Seed
  • Eight Umbral Scouring items

Additionally, interact with the Stigma in the Umbral realm to receive two more rewards:

  • Two Umbral Scouring
  • Remembrance of the Congregator of Flesh

Trade boss remembrances with Mohlu in the Umbral version of Skyrest Bridge for various items, including Saint Latimer's Relic Spear and Flesh Tide.

Lords of the Fallen Gameplay

In "Lords of the Fallen," you play from a viewpoint behind your character. You can fight enemies using both close combat weapons and magic, similar to the first game. The way you play and fight in the game is similar to other games like "Souls."

At the start, you get to make your own character and choose from nine different types. The game world is really big, much bigger than the previous one from 2014. There are two worlds on top of each other. One is called Axiom, where living things are, and the other is Umbral, a place for the dead. Even though they're in the same space, you can only get to certain places by going between the two worlds.

If you die in Axiom, you'll go to Umbral and have to come back to Axiom to get back what you lost. But if you die in Umbral, you'll start again from the last place you saved, and you'll lose any experience points you didn't use. There aren't many places to save your progress in each area, but you can make your own using special materials you find in Umbral from defeated monsters.

Lords of the Fallen Plot

The game is set in a world that was once ruled by a harsh god named Adyr, who was defeated by three heroes - a rogue, a cleric, and a warrior. These heroes, known as the Judges, were later elevated to demigod status. In this world, even minor wrongdoings are punished. Players take on the role of Harkyn, a convicted criminal bearing visible runes on his face, representing his sins.

Harkyn is freed from prison by a monk named Kaslo to stop an invasion of Adyr's demonic forces, the Rhogar, near the Hand of God mountains. He encounters powerful beings known as Rhogar Lords, invading from an unknown realm. With the help of an explorer named Yetka, he finds the Pathway - a portal to the Rhogar Realm, once a temple of Adyr, now banished and sealed by the Judges.

In the Rhogar Realm, Harkyn reclaims the stolen Crystal of Travels from the Crafter, an immortal being. He successfully halts the invasion. Returning to the monastery, he's tasked by Antanas to slay the revived Adyr. However, Harkyn senses something amiss and confronts a mysterious monster. He unlocks the Chamber of Lies and encounters a peculiar demon tied to Yetka's family. Harkyn must decide whether to kill it or let Yetka go with it. Finally, he defeats the last Lord and converses with Adyr, who believes humanity requires a god for order. Harkyn receives a special rune to restore Adyr's power.

Back at the monastery, Harkyn faces monsters, evidence of Antanas' dark experiments on monks. Antanas' forces label Harkyn a traitor for sparing Adyr. Harkyn confronts Antanas and learns that the transformed Antanas killed Kaslo. Harkyn defeats and kills Antanas, then chooses to use the Rune of Adyr to either revive Adyr, kill Adyr, or give it to the Crafter, leading to a neutral ending with Adyr dormant.
