Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is a video game released in 2023, developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision. It's the third game in the revamped Modern Warfare series and the twentieth in the overall Call of Duty series. Available on platforms like PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, the game continues the realistic and modern setting of its predecessors.
The storyline follows Task Force 141, a special operations unit, as they pursue the Russian ultranationalist and terrorist Vladimir Makarov, aiming to prevent a third World War. The multiplayer features sixteen remastered maps from Modern Warfare 2, with additional new maps planned post-launch.
The game also introduces a Zombies mode, developed in collaboration with Treyarch, offering an open-world player versus environment experience. Originally intended as an expansion for Modern Warfare II, it evolved into a standalone release.
Modern Warfare III received mixed reviews, with praise for its multiplayer but criticism for its campaign and varied opinions on the Zombies mode. The game was officially revealed in August 2023 after several leaks, with a showcase event and public beta held in October.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Gameplay
Modern Warfare III will play a lot like its predecessor and other Call of Duty games. It brings back features like slide canceling. The campaign offers both linear missions and 'Open Combat Missions,' giving players more freedom in how they tackle objectives.
In multiplayer, there will be all sixteen maps from Modern Warfare 2 at launch. Players can vote for maps in lobbies, and there will be a bit more health for a longer time to kill. The 'red dot' minimap is back, allowing players to spot enemies on their radar when they shoot without a suppressor. Classic modes like 'Kill Confirmed' and 'Hardpoint' are returning, along with a new mode called 'Cutthroat.' Ground War and War mode are making a comeback too. The game will also use AI to monitor and report toxic behavior.
The game will also have a new open-world PvE Zombies mode. Developed by Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games, it's different from the old round-based survival style. Up to 24 players will team up on a big map called Urzikstan. They'll face off against zombies and AI-controlled enemies, completing objectives, collecting loot, and extracting items. Instead of rounds, the map is divided into 'zones' with varying difficulty levels.
After 45 minutes, an 'Aether Storm' starts, giving players 15 minutes to get out with their loot. This can be carried into the next match. It includes familiar elements like weapon purchases, special drinks, and mystery boxes. Story quests will also be part of the mode, advancing the narrative.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Plot
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III's campaign story takes place after the events of Modern Warfare II. It features fictional locations like Verdansk, Kastovia, and Urzikstan. The main villain is Ultranationalist terrorist Vladimir Makarov. Task Force 141, led by characters like Captain John Price, Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley, Sergeant Kyle "Gaz" Garrick, and Sergeant John "Soap" MacTavish, are the main heroes. Players will also take on roles in Makarov's private military company, Konni Group.
The Zombies story happened in Urzikstan in 2021, after the events of Modern Warfare (2019) and almost 40 years after the Black Ops Cold War. It includes characters like Victor Zakhaev, a Russian arms dealer, and Sergei Ravenov, a former Spetsnaz captain with experience in dealing with zombies. New characters are introduced too, like Jack Fletcher from the private military company Terminus Outcomes, and Selma Greene, who leads Operation Deadbolt, a CIA plan formed after the Cold War outbreak.
