It was first launched in the Chinese market as a Douyin network in September 2016, whereas TikTok was a popular app that could be used worldwide. However, the app only worked globally on 2 August 2018, when it was connected with Musical.ly, another Chinese social media site.

How to edit caption on Tiktok after posting?

• Once a video is posted on TikTok, its caption cannot be edited. The solution is to download the video, delete it from TikTok, and then re-upload it with the desired caption.
• To begin, go to your profile on TikTok by tapping the "Me" icon on the bottom-right corner of the screen. Then, select the video you want to edit.
• Tap the three dots towards the bottom-right of the video to open the options menu.
• In the pop-up menu, tap the "Save video" button labeled with a download icon on the bottom left. This will download the video onto your phone.
• Once the video has been downloaded, tap the three dots again and scroll all the way to the right on the lower list of options. Tap "Delete" to remove the original video from TikTok.
• To re-upload the video with the new caption, tap the "+" button on the bottom center of the screen. Instead of recording, tap the "Upload" button located on the right of the record button.
• Select the video you just downloaded, and tap "Next" on the bottom-right of the screen.
• Proceed with the posting process as you normally would. This time, add the desired caption to the video before hitting the "Post" button.

How to Make Edits to a Draft? 

Editing videos on TikTok can be quite cumbersome as you need to download the video, re-upload it, make edits, and post it on TikTok. However, you can avoid this hassle by posting your video as a draft. A draft is an unpublished video that others can't view, but you can still make changes to it. 

Here's how you can edit a draft on TikTok:

• Open the TikTok app and go to your profile.
• Tap on "Drafts" and select the video you want to edit and publish.
• Tap on the back arrow in the top-left corner.
• Make any necessary edits to the video such as music, text, etc.
• Tap on "Next" at the bottom of the screen.
• Edit your captions, audience, and cover photo if needed.
• Finally, tap "Post" to publish your video or "Drafts" to save it and make more edits later.

By using the draft feature, you can make changes to your videos without having to go through the process of downloading and re-uploading them.

How to post a video on Tiktok? 

• To upload a video to TikTok, first, tap the + icon located at the bottom center of the screen. 

• You can either record a new video using the TikTok camera or upload a video from your device's photo library. 

• Once you have your footage, you can edit your post to make it more engaging for viewers. 

• You can experiment with adding sounds, effects, filters, and other camera tools to enhance your video. 

• When you're done editing, click "Next" in the bottom right of the screen, where you can then add your caption and hashtags. 

• After making any final adjustments, hit the "Post" button to publish your TikTok video to the app.

Who can view your Tiktok videos?

• By making your TikTok account private, you can control who can see your profile and content. 

• This feature requires you to approve new followers. 

• Although this might limit your chances of going viral, it allows you to maintain your desired privacy. 

• You can customize your settings according to your preferences. 

• You can explore the "Settings" section to adjust your privacy settings and select the audience you want to see your videos. 

• The available options include Followers, Followers that follow you back, or Only Me.
