Teased as Project A in October 2019, the game began limited access closed beta on April 7, 2020, followed by a release on June 2, 2020. The development of the game started in 2014. Valorant takes inspiration from Counter-Strike. Players play as one of a group of agents, characters based on different countries and cultures around the world. In the main game mode, players are divided into either attacking or defending teams, with five players on each team. The games use a typical 5v5 format and a bomb-oriented lens similar to other popular shooters such as Counter-Strike.  But VALORANT also features unique agent roles, abilities, and map details that allow for complex strategies that highlight the abilities of individual players. How to Fix Valorant Could Not Enter Matchmaking?

When a game is more popular, some other issues like bugs and server issues can occur but these issues are solved soon. When you start a match in Valorant, it may sometimes fail and the show could not enter matchmaking. This kind of issue occurs only a few times. But this kind of pop-up appears regularly when you start a match and we conclude there is a problem. Here are some ways to fix these issues and they are listed below.

• Test Riot server status
• Make sure you are not banned
• Change the time-date settings
• Log out and log in
• Kill Riot processes and replay
• Run the Valorant client as an administrator

Test Riot Server Status

1. Launch the Valorant client
2. After that, When the main screen opens up, take a look at the middle of the screen.
3. Now, you will find a list of serves and the average ping
4. Finally, make sure that you check the server with the lowest ping.

Make sure you are not Banned

If your account is temporarily disabled due to inactivity in the game, the error message "Could not enter matchmaking" will appear.  So when you click the "Play" button in a certain game mode (assuming the mode is "Ranked"), the Valorant client immediately displays an error message.

On the next screen, you will see the ban period.  After the set time, try to play anything. You can match and play your favorite mode.

Change the Time and Date settings

In your system, the time and date settings are wrong and you can also face a problem. 

• Exit the Valorant game. 
• Then, press the Window key+I keys together.
• Then, tap “Time and language” on the left-hand pane.
• This opens the various time settings options.
• Make sure to set the “Set time automatically” option to “On”.

Logout and Login

This is another way to play a game without any disturbance. 

• Open the Valorant game.
• When you reach the main page, click on the setting icon in the top-right corner.
• Then, tap “EXIT TO DESKTOP“.
• Then, tap “SIGN OUT & EXIT” to close and sign out from the Valorant app.
• Launch the Valorant app now
• If it opens, you need to enter your Username and Password
• Then, tap the arrow sign in to Valorant.

Kill Riot Process and Replay

Terminate the Riot processes and then again to start the game. 

• While you are playing the Valorant game, press the Ctrl+Shift+Esc keys together.
• When the Task Manager opens up, look for the “VALORANT” app process. Then, select the process and tap “End task“. 
• In the ‘Background processes’ page, look for any Riot-games-related process.
• Once you have found that process, right-tap it and tap “End task“.

Run the Valorant client as an administrator

• Look for the Valorant icon on your desktop.
• If you can, right-click on the “Valorant” on the desktop and click “Run as administrator“.

Then start the game with administrative rights and open the game, if the pop-up will not appear then follow these steps.

• Again, right-tap the Valorant app, and now, click on Properties.
• Click on the “Compatibility” pane.
• Then, tick the “Run as administrator” check box.
• Finally, click “Apply” and “OK” to apply and save the changes.

Valorant Server Status

Valorant should be working fine now. There are many reasons for this error, but the main reason is the connection problem. Valorant uses match play to evaluate and access player performance levels. This is an invisible number that changes over time depending on your performance and gameplay. 

Check the Server Status

Valorant looked to be aware from the start that the game could experience server issues, which is why they have an official VALORANT  server status page. The page notifies readers when login or compatibility issues occur. Of course, readers must select the correct region to receive information about their server status. 

Check Valorant Twitter Page

The Valorant Twitter page is quite active and has made users aware of server issues in the past.
