On January 17, 2024, WWE 2K changed their profile pictures on Twitter to show the new WWE 2K24 logo and said there would be more information on January 22, 2024.
On that day, they shared that Cody Rhodes would be on the cover of the Standard Edition, and The Judgment Day's Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair would be on the Deluxe Edition. They also mentioned a special "40 Years of WrestleMania" Edition with extra content.
The game will be available on different consoles, including PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. All editions will include a free month of Peacock Premium, but this offer is only for the United States and lasts until April 14, 2024. The Standard Edition will be out on March 8, 2024, while the Deluxe and 40 Years of WrestleMania Editions will be released three days earlier on March 5, 2024. The game will bring back some match types like special guest referee, ambulance, casket, and gauntlet matches.
