How To Level Up New World Weaponsmithing?

Weaponsmithing is one of the many trade skills you can level in the New World, and just like Armoring, this is a useful one to have if you want to prioritize having the best damage output at all times. One essential thing to note is that while most weapon types can be crafted at the forge through weaponsmithing, there are a few exceptions. The magic-based weapons, such as the life staff, fire staff, and ice gauntlet, require arcana and should be crafted at the Arcane Repository. The remaining weapons, like the rapier, warhammer, sword, shield, and great axe, are all crafted with weaponsmithing.

With that in mind, the next thing you need to level up fast is a good gathering route. Primarily, you will need tonnes of green wood, iron ore, and rawhide, especially in the early levels. As your weaponsmithing level obtain into the early 100s, you will need to start thinking about orichalcum and starmetal ore as well, but those are much easier to get than iron ore. You will also need a good supply of sand flux, which is required to smelt your iron ingots into steel ingots, and these are obtained from supply crates or by purchasing them through the trading post.

Listed below are the recipes that we’ve found to be the most efficient for levelling up weaponsmithing in New World:

New World Weaponsmithing Gameplay

The gameplay involves no auto-locked targeting battles, and, therefore, a steady hand at aiming is obtained. With each level, the hostile mobs' attack skill sets become more complex and powerful, requiring the player to counter with timed attacks, dodges, weapon blocks, retreats, or crawling stealthily using their mana, stamina, and health. The weapon skill tree choices are currently for bow, hammer, hatchet, great axe, fire staff, life staff, musket, blunderbuss, spear, sword/shield, and ice gauntlet.

Personal attribute skills are levelled up by the character. Diminishing returns scale as an attribute's skill level increases. The player's character also levels up his weapon and trade skills. The trade skills are divided into the three categories of "crafting" (weapon smithing, armoring, jewel crafting, engineering, arcana, cooking, and furnishing), "refining" (smelting, leather working, woodworking, weaving, and stone cutting), and "gathering" (logging, harvesting, mining, and tracking and skinning). There is also a "camping" skill (wilderness survival).
