Last Epoch, an early access hack and slash action role-playing game, was developed by Eleventh Hour Games (EHG). The game's journey began in April 2018 with the release of a free playable demo as part of Last Epoch's Kickstarter drive. Subsequently, in April 2019, the beta version became accessible through Steam Early Access. Initially slated for a full release in April 2020, the launch was later rescheduled to the fourth quarter of 2020, marking a shift in the game's timeline.
Notably, in October 2020, the developers announced the cancellation of the Mac client due to anticipated challenges arising from Apple's transition to ARM-based processors. Following this, in December 2020, EHG revealed another delay, pushing Last Epoch's release to 2021. In March 2023, a multiplayer beta was introduced, and in October 2023, it was officially confirmed that the full game would be launched on February 21, 2024
