Modern Warfare 3 Plot
Following the events of the previous game, Soap and Price, two key characters, are rescued by Nikolai and taken to a safe house. However, Makarov's forces attack them. At Price's request, Nikolai contacts Yuri, a former Spetsnaz operator who despises Makarov.
In another storyline, a Delta Force squad called "Metal" aids in defending New York City. They disable a radio jammer, hijack a submarine, and use its missiles to defeat the Russian Navy, compelling Russia to withdraw from the East Coast.
Three months later, Russian President Vorshevsky's peace talks are ambushed by Makarov, leading to a crash in Eastern Europe. The intel reveals Makarov's plan to kidnap Vorshevsky's daughter in Berlin. Despite efforts, she is captured, leading to a daring rescue mission. Team Metal sacrifices themselves for the President's escape. With Makarov exposed, Russia and the US reconcile, and Makarov goes into hiding.
