The Queen's Tomb in Enshrouded

The Queen's Tomb in Enshrouded is a special side quest that offers a valuable shield with a Pikemead design as a reward. To claim this unique loot, players need to solve a puzzle involving four hidden levers. Despite its name, the Queen's Tomb is marked as Mistbury Catacombs on the map. It can be found northeast of Springlands and southwest of Revelwood Fast Travel Points.

If players have already discovered the Hill of Scavengers, locating the tomb is easy, as it's just north of the hill. The tomb itself is hidden deep inside a cave, and its entrance is on the east side, blocked by a locked wooden door. Players can choose to either break the door or use a lockpick to gain access.

To complete the Queen's Tomb without activating the levers, players must make their way through the tomb to reach the main gate, which is a locked iron door at the far end of the corridor. Before proceeding, it's essential to eliminate any enemies within the tomb, including an archer and a floating creature. To break down the iron gate efficiently, players should have around 8 to 10 Explosive Powder Bombs. If the door is still intact, players can resort to dealing melee damage, although this method takes longer.

While it's possible to use melee damage from the beginning, it's less efficient. Each Explosive Powder Bomb deals 50 damage to the gate, totaling 400 damage with eight bombs. Attempting to deal this amount of damage with a mid-tier melee weapon, which usually deals up to 10 damage per swing, is less effective but can still be done.

How to Solve Queen's Tomb Puzzle in Enshrouded?

Solving the Queen's Tomb Puzzle in Enshrouded involves finding and activating four levers hidden inside the tomb. To begin, make sure you have a bow with arrows or a wand with ice or fire bolts, and it's recommended to have at least one lockpick. Start by entering the tomb and turning right.

Go upstairs from the first corridor branch, defeat enemies, and stand at the wooden floor's edge. Look for a grappling lock on the ceiling, swing across, and take the stairs on your right. At the top, you'll find the first lever; shoot it with an arrow or bolt to activate it.

For the second lever, return to the main corridor and head down the stairs from the far-right branch. Deal with a floating enemy using a wand or bow. After defeating it, go downstairs, turn right, and jump over a magma river toward a dead end. On the wall to your left, you'll see the second lever; shoot it to disable the lock.

To find the third lever, go back to the stairs you descended earlier. Break open a wooden door in front of the stairs, revealing a pile of Shroud terrain. Dig through it to uncover a path, go inside, and turn right at the end. Use the ladder network on the wall to reach the other side, where you'll find another pile of Shroud terrain. Shoot the explosive barrel in front of it to reveal an entry to the Shroud zone. Head inside, take the stairs up, and locate the third lever on the wall.

Returning to the main corridor, head upstairs from the far-left branch to reach an iron door. Use your lockpick to open it, go left, climb up the ladder, and use your Grappling Hook to swing to the other side. Upon landing, you'll find the fourth and final lever on the wall. Activating this lever opens the main gate, allowing you to claim Pikemead's Bulwark from the tomb.

Enshrouded Development

"Enshrouded" is under the creative wings of the German studio Keen Games, known for their work on Portal Knights. Taking inspiration from beloved games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Valheim, the developers aimed to craft an inviting experience within the survival game genre.

To offer players a taste of what's to come, an 8-hour demo was released during Steam Next Fest in November 2023. The game officially launched on January 24, 2024, via Steam's early access model, allowing players to immerse themselves in the evolving world of Embervale. Excitingly, versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S are also in the works, expanding the accessibility of "Enshrouded" to a wider audience.
