Tekken 8 is a video game where characters fight each other. It was made by Bandai Namco Studios and Arika. Bandai Namco Entertainment released the game on January 26, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.

The game's story, called The Dark Awakens, happens six months after the last game. It focuses on a big fight between two main characters, Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama, who are father and son.

Jin wants to kill his father to stop the problems in their family. The game has 32 characters, some are from the old games, and some are new. Each character has their own story that adds to the main story.

Tekken 8 was first talked about in August 2022 and officially shown in September 2022. It uses a game engine called Unreal Engine 5 and has better fighting elements than the previous game.

There are also new things like the "Heat" system and "Tornado" hits. They added a new mode called Arcade Quest, which has tournaments, arcade features, and you can change how your character looks. There's also special money you can use in the game.

Tekken 8 Gameplay 

Tekken 8 is a fighting game, and it's similar to the older Tekken games. The person in charge of making the game, Katsuhiro Harada, says Tekken 8 will be more aggressive than the last one. This means the game rewards players who attack a lot instead of just defending.

They added a new thing called "Heat." When a character is in the "Heat" mode, they do more damage, get extra moves, and change how some of their attacks work. They can even cancel their moves while in this mode.

The "Heat" mode has a timer, and it stops when characters use certain moves. If you guard against strong attacks or characters in "Heat" mode, you'll still take some damage, but you can gain back health by attacking.

Tekken 8 has some changes and improvements. The "Rage" system from the last game is back, but they changed one of the moves to a new super move called "Heat Smash." They also replaced the "Screw" move with a "Tornado" move that puts opponents on the ground quickly.

Tekken 8 Plot 

Jin, after failing to defeat Kazuya, announces a new tournament where nations fight for rewards, and the losers face destruction. During qualifiers, Jin loses his devil powers and meets Reina, who wants to understand the Mishima devil powers. Others like Claudio, Zafina, and Xiaoyu also watch the tournament.

In Italy, Kazuya absorbs Azazel's power, becoming a True Devil. Jin, guided by Leroy, seeks control over his devil powers. The rebels, UN, and tournament fighters battle Kazuya's forces. Jin faces his devil self, accepts his powers, and saves Lars. In a final battle, Jin defeats Kazuya, purging their Devil Genes. Jin leaves with Xiaoyu, and Jun approaches Kazuya.

In the credits, combatants help restore Manhattan, Leo and Niklas continue their mission, Yggdrasil and UN celebrate, and Zafina and Claudio survive. In a mid-credit scene, Reina, surviving Kazuya's attack, vows revenge and reveals she has the Devil Gene.
