How to Unlock Winterbite in Destiny 2 Lightfall?
To acquire the Winterbite exotic weapon, you must first finish the Lightfall campaign. However, please note that there might be spoilers ahead, so proceed with caution. After completing the campaign, go to Nimbus to reach the Hall of Heroes. Once there, speak with Quinn, who will provide you with several quests, including the Strider exotic quest that rewards the Winterbite. However, you need to complete Quinn's other quests first, so finish those before returning to her for the Winterbite quest. Regrettably, this quest cannot be accomplished in a day. The second stage entails opening Terminal Overload Key Chests at each of the three Neomuna locations, which rotate daily. Therefore, be sure to visit frequently to unlock those chests. Simply follow the quest instructions to obtain the weapon.
Destiny 2 Winterbite Quest Strider
To acquire the Winterbite Exotic Glaive, you must complete a series of quests from Quinn Laghari in the Hall of Heroes on Neomuna. Once you've completed the previous quests and the Terminal Overload Key Chests step, you must defeat Shadow Legion forces in Neomuna to find location data and head to the Gilded Precept Lost Sector in Ahimsa Park to complete both quest steps in one run. Afterward, head to Maya's Retreat to defeat the Vex Hydras, scan all of the confluxes and return to Quinn in the Hall of Heroes to claim your reward, the Winterbite Exotic Glaive.
What Winterbite Weapon Does to an Enemy?
Winterbite is a novel heavy glaive, which occupies the heavy weapon slot, and serves as a groundbreaking addition to Stasis builds. Its distinctive feature is its projectile, a massive sphere that gradually moves forward, causing enemies to freeze upon impact. The projectile closely resembles the BFG from DOOM, traveling until it collides with an object and detonates. The freezing effect that the projectile has on enemies presents an ideal opportunity to pursue with the glaive's melee attacks. The combination of freezing and melee tactics appears to be a perfect match for the glaive.
