The rumor suggesting that 6ix9ine is gay originated from a single Tweet featuring a photo of the rapper and another man. In the picture, 6ix9ine is seen giving a friendly kiss on the unidentified person's cheek. However, the accompanying quote in the Tweet is completely fabricated and falsely claims that 6ix9ine shared it himself in an interview.
The caption in question reads: "6ix9ine, in a recent interview, admitted that he is gay and has a boyfriend. He mentioned being deeply moved by Noah Vela's song 'To the boy who saved my life,' which inspired him to come out of the closet."
There is no evidence to support the claim that 6ix9ine made this statement in any of his interviews. The account responsible for the Tweet has a history of spreading baseless rumors about other celebrities, including Zendaya and Tom Holland, such as the unfounded rumor that the couple is "taking a break."

6ix9ine's rise to fame began in 2017 when he was featured on Trippie Redd's track "Poles 1469" and released his solo debut single, "Gummo," which gradually gained popularity.
He followed it up with his mixtape Day69 (2018), which included successful singles like "Kooda," "Keke" featuring Fetty Wap and A Boogie wit da Hoodie, and "Gotti," all of which achieved chart success on the Billboard Hot 100.

Daniel Hernandez was born on May 8, 1996, in Bushwick, Brooklyn, New York City. He was raised by his parents, Natividad Perez-Hernandez and Daniel Hernandez Sr.
Natividad worked as a factory worker and house cleaner, originally from Atlixco, Puebla, Mexico, while Daniel Sr. hailed from Río Piedras, San Juan, Puerto Rico. In 1988, Natividad immigrated to the United States with the hope of finding better opportunities for her family.
During his childhood, Hernandez actively participated in baseball and soccer. At the age of 13, there were discussions about him potentially being scouted by a major league team. However, his mother decided against pursuing the opportunity due to concerns about her son's safety.
Hernandez and his older brother, Oscar Osiris, grew up in a church environment. He was actively involved in singing during mass and frequently selected to read passages from the Bible, with Psalm 121 being his favorite.
He attended Public School 59 for elementary school, Juan Morel Campos Secondary School for middle school, and Legacy High School for his high school years. However, he left high school around the tenth grade.
Until the age of 9, Hernandez was unaware of his father's existence and had only limited interaction with him. According to Hernandez's father, his mother had informed him that his father was deceased.
Hernandez's father had struggled with heroin addiction and served a prison sentence of five years for drug-related charges. Tragically, Hernandez's stepfather, also of Puerto Rican descent, was fatally shot near their family home in 2010.
Following this incident, Hernandez's mother faced financial difficulties and struggled to support her children. They often relied on welfare assistance, and there were nights when Hernandez and his brother went to bed without dinner. Due to the financial strain, they wore used clothing, and Hernandez had to share a bed with his mother.
The loss of his stepfather deeply affected Hernandez, leading to emotional distress. He exhibited signs of depression and post-traumatic stress disorder, resulting in weight loss due to a lack of self-care. He received therapy and was hospitalized for his mental health struggles.
Additionally, Hernandez's behavior became disruptive, leading to his expulsion from school in the 8th grade. Instead of continuing his education, he took up various jobs, including working as a busboy and a delivery boy at a grocery store, to assist his mother financially.
