The O'Jays' lead singer, Edward Willis Levert, is an American singer who was born on June 16, 1942. Levert was married to Raquel Capelton. Yet, he remains alive. Fans of Levert were informed via Twitter by journalist Roland Sebastian Martin that Levert is still alive and well after speaking with him and his wife Raquel.

In addition to it, Roland went on to say: "Stories are lies. I just got off the phone with Eddie and Raquel. spoke with them. Had a discussion. The families are saddened by this, he said. In his video confirming that Levert is indeed alive, Roland Martin claims that Eddie's phone was "blowing up all morning." "Never do this false spreading rumors, please. The O'Jays joined Pennsylvania International Records in 1969 and started releasing music on the new label. Eddie Levert" received close to one million "likes," rumors of his claimed death began to spread. Following the false report, his followers started posting condolences on the Facebook page, expressing their sorrow at the passing of the talented 80-year-old singer.

"It was terrible. I'm lucky to have succeeded. He also highlighted COVID on his Facebook page on July 30. "COVID is not a toy," he declared. Your entire body—legs, limbs, voice—everything—is affected. You can only be saved by God. Continue to be in his excellent (graces).
