Things get complicated when Buddy messes up a meeting with a famous author. Walter gets mad and says some hurtful things to Buddy. Heartbroken, Buddy leaves.
Later, Santa's sleigh crashes, and Buddy helps fix it. He reunites with Walter and Michael, and they all make things right. They even prove that Santa is real! In the end, Buddy writes a book about his life, and it becomes really popular. Walter starts his own company, and Buddy and Jovie get married and have a baby girl named Susie. Everyone is happy.
